Guardhouse Double Row Coin Box for 50 Large or "H" Capsules ( Direct Fit Large Dollar / Silver Round / 1 Oz Gold Eagle / etc )

This box fits the H38, H39, & H40 Air-Tite and Guardhouse coin capsules. It is sturdy pasteboard covered with glossy paper, and has inserts that hold the capsules so that they don't rub together and jostle around. The trays that hold the coins are flocked so that they don't scratch the capsules during storage.

Very sturdy cardboard outer surface. The slots inside work perfectly to hold gold and silver bullion 1 ounce coins in round plastic capsules. I currently use it for gold and silver American Eagle coins as well as silver Maple Leafs. I believe it will ll probably work for other 1 ounce coins as well.

I use this to store my American Silver Eagles in their airtight capsules. The fit of the capsules in the slots is perfect and provides a firm hold.

Presumably, there is a specific size of a specific brand of coin capsule that you will be able to force into the slots of this box, but if you use any of a number of H sized capsule available on Amazon, or if you have coins that come in capsule from the mints themselves (such as Perth or the Chinese Pandas) this box will absolutely not work, and you may damage your capsules trying to make it work. A handful of my capsules from OnFireGuy work in this, but the rest do not, and even trying to fit them in damages the liner, likely making it difficult to return. In addition to the large, I also purchased an extra large in the hopes that it might be better. It was not. This is a lovely idea for a coin box, but it is abysmally designed and an utter failure for my purposes.

In general this is a good product. The range of diameters that it says it accepts is kind of a stretch. Some of the larger diameter capsules that I inserted bulged out the sides, but I could still get the cover on, so for the price I feel it is still a good buy.

I'm using this box to store individually capsuled Australian silver kookaburras. Each capsule is held securely in place yet can easy be removed by pulling up. It's a bit tricky if you want to remove one that has other capsules on each side of it, but once you create a gap you can easily pull the others out. A nice storage solution for your coin collection.

This is a decent quality coin storage box but my H size capsules containing Silver American Eagles, 1 oz. silver rounds and various foreign government coins wouldn't fit. But my half dollars in capsules did fit. Since I'm still waiting for a half dollar size Guardhouse box, I'm not yet sure if I'll have to return one of the boxes or if my quarters will fit the smaller box. At some point I may try the extra large size for the coins that wouldn't fit in this box..

Great price, cheaper than buying from the mfg (with shipping). I like this product, nice and sturdy and it hold my round firmly in place.
