Whitetail Institute 30-06 Mineral and Vitamin Supplement for Deer Food Plots, Provides Antler-Building Nutrition and Attracts Deer, Plus Protein, 5 lbs

I’ll be honest I’m from South Carolina. I’ve bought everything from Apple blocks to regular mineral blocks and nothing compares to the 30.06 from whitetail institute. They are literally digging up the ground to get to it. The piece of the block you seen in the picture are from the first one I put out. They dug the hole to get to what’s soaked into the ground. Over the past week we have had nonstop rain. The block held it own and didn’t melt like other said it did. I don’t know maybe they got a bad block or something. Even with the heavy rain I can go and see each day fresh prints where they keep coming back for more. If I had to compare this block to anything in this world I’d say it’s like crack for deers. This block has me excited to plant my whitetail institute clover come late summer early fall.

Do not buy if you don’t want the grass killed. We have deer in our neighborhood, many does with babies. I wanted to get them something that would help with their health. Nothing on this product says it will kill the grass. Deers graze on the grass...made sense to put on grass. Worked too because I had evidence of deer in the yard. But it most certainly killed every blade of grass it touched in the exact patter I laid it.Don’t be like me. Don’t use this stuff if you are not putting on dirt. Not sure why deer would want the dirt over grass. A waste of a lot of money, because now I have to regrow the front yard

Best block made hands down! Update February 22 2020 we don't have a feeder we have food plots and 30/06 blocks we have thousands yes thousands of picture of deer not rabbits or squirrels or skunks deer at our 30/06 blocks!!!!!!!!!! Ps if you don't have deer coming to this block maybe you should unwrap it !!!!!

Bought two of these. Deer are starting to hit the one regularly. They haven’t found the other yet. Probably more of my placement issue than the product. I also bought the 30-6 powder version from whitetail and the deer are messing with it as well. So far so good. Deer seem to enjoy these. The hope is that it helps the deer form a habit of walking by them, so when they are removed or used up by hunting season the deer will continue to travel past the spot.

This stuff is amazing! I call it deer crack! I got several free samples from the manufacturer and finally used the product in areas covered with trail cameras. Wow, the deer found this in 24 hours and would not leave it alone. Day after day, deer showed up at all hours. The best part was that I had seen mainly only does before I put this out, I was immediately getting photos of good quality bucks, several at a time. I immediately ordered more, maybe I'm addicted like the deer seem to be. This will be part of my fall bait along with my foot plots while hunting this season. Recommend that you give it a try.

I placed one of these out in the woods on top of a flat rock to keep it off the ground in July of 2020 and it lasted until November of 2020. As it was licked and chewed on by the various woodland creatures, (deer, raccoons, squirrels, mice, etc.) the block leaches into the soil around the rock platform. It has now been a year since I first placed my original block out in the woods and the area continues to attract deer, squirrels, and raccoons. The deer are digging up the surrounding dirt to lick, chew, and eat it. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been impressed and the deer love it. We have about a dozen white tail that visit our yard in various family groups throughout the evening and night. I placed the block in the forest next to the yard and they frequently linger over the mineral block supplement. They have cleared an area arond the block so they can get to all sides. I also like how long the block lasts, that it stands up to weather, and that it does not seem to attract any ants or other insects.

Use this as directions told me the deer would not touch this not even close and I’ve made 5 spots using different products with cameras on all of them and all within 25 ft from one another and they won’t touch this they walk over it sniff it but will not consider eating it
