Never Wrapped Before
I had never wrapped anything except a present - and not very well. I had no prior training or knowledge of vinyl wrapping. This was used to cover plastic panels on the dashboard of my car. This material was thick and strong. Backing was very sticky. Looked really great. Used a low heat gun (120 C) on edges, curves, rounded corners and contours to get a smooth, wrinkle free surface. Even screw holes came out great using an ink pen point and pencil erasure to shape. I was amazed at how easy it was to work once I learned how to cut for holes and other openings. Don't over cut or cut flush at first. Heat, stretch and fold to inside. Quality material. Withstands heat without bubbling. Biggest issue was to have and keep a clean, smooth substrate. Any dirt or chips will show in your final work. CLEAN, CLEAN is the key. Did have a few bubbles develop. Poked with a needle, heated and smoothed OK. Used single edge razor blade, old credit card with gauze pad on edge and fingers. No special tools. IMHO, surface was too glossy - sprayed with clear satin. Much better. Very impressed.

The pattern matches my interior perfectly
I bought this to match a missing trim piece in a 2010 Mercedes E350. Known problem where the door trim strip falls off. I bought the car and the trim was missing. Purchased this roll of contact trim and it matched perfectly. It was easy to work with, not flimsy. Stuck properly and I was able to trim it with an exacto knife. Time will tell if the summer heat will affect it, but I did clean the surface with rubbing alcohol first, so I had a proper surface for this trim. I have plenty left over in case it fails, but for now it looks like a factory piece. BTW, Mercedes wants over $300 for this trim and it's very involved with taking of the door panel and fitting the new piece. All that was avoided using this product. Had it done in 20 minutes.

Too thick material.
Not easy to install or form around edges, gets a lot of bubbles and they are hard to remove, Will use only for flat projects

Terrible
I tried to do my dash bezel after a aftermarket stereo bezel to match it as my oem laramie wood, but it comes creased and the vinyl is harder than a yk what, but not fun to work with, air bubbles all day, it comes brighter than whats advertised, shows a much darker wood in pictures but it is brighter, not worth, it was fine on a small piece like the cupholder up there but any big pieces just get it hydro dipped
