Sturdy rack, quality hardware, easy assembly, wish it were taller
I've had some painful product assemblies in my life, but this was NOT one of them. Clear instructions, beautiful packaging, easy one-man assembly. I attached a picture of the freshly opened box (already unwrapped the backboard) to show the beautiful hardware pack: EVERY product should have hardware packaged and labelled like this— it's so easy to assemble, and even easier if you have 13 and 17mm sockets with a ratchet wrench. (The instructions call for adjustable wrenches, but use ratchets if you have them)Although this is made for indoor use, I set mine up outside. I prefer outdoor workouts and the rack is fairly tall. Keep in mind that for pull-ups you need at least another foot beyond the height of the rack (and even more if you want to power-up), so just squeezing it under a ceiling is no good. I've placed it on a patio I'm rebuilding, and it's partially under a roof here. The tower is much more rigid than I expected for having so many bolts. All hardware is nylock-style fasteners, so it takes some effort to tighten and that's another reason to use ratchet spanners. I'm very happy with the quality of the tubes and hardware, and I experienced no problems at all assembling this. If you get one, follow the instructions very carefully as much of the hardware is similar with just tiny (but important) differences.I've used a number of similar racks, and this one is as good as any with one criticism: I wish it were taller. I'm not quite 5'8" and I can stand with feet flat while grabbing the pull-up bar. With a taller bar, I could hang legs straight and point my feet down, but with this one I'm forced to bend my knees. Not a huge deal, but still a minor disappointment. The pull-up bar has a nice range of possible grips. The assembled rack is not as heavy as it looks, and although it's sturdy I can pick the whole thing up and move it without dragging it. It's critical to have the floor level for dips or the rack will wobble. I'm considering anchoring this to the ground when my patio is done so that I can eliminate any wobble. The pullup bar is slightly padded and perfect diameter, same as the dip bar handles although I generally prefer those fatter. After you've done a couple hundred dips your palms can get very sore on skinny handles. Overall I'm very happy with this rack.

the Power Tower is a great backup to my gym membership
As with all the Weider products I've used in the past, the Power Tower is a great backup to my gym membership. As a seasoned bodybuilder with over a decade of experience with all kinds of equipment, I can say that this tower is well-built for any home gym purposes. I happen to keep mine at my summer cabin to use with a few other things to keep in shape while vacationing, and it fills this role very well.Surprisingly enough, the directions were very clear, every hole lined up as expected, and not a single part was missing. Being out in the woods, this was huge as I couldn't just run to hardware store (or whatever) to fix these problems. The coating on the metal parts seems almost like a phosphate and durable. There were no scratches. The padding is good enough. Don't expect Serta memory foam because it's purpose-built to withstand the abuse of a good workout - and it does just that.Once assembled and properly tightened, the tower is surprisingly sturdy during all exercises. I'm 210lbs and did not rock, sway, bend, or have any other signs of bad craftsmanship. In other words, I don't foresee any issues for durability within the limits that it was designed. Obviously, this tower is ideally used on the flattest surface you can find. For me, the pushup handles, dip grips, and arm supports (for vertical knee/leg raises) are spaced perfectly, though are not adjustable. The pull-up bar has a nice gel/foam coating on it that lends itself to grip and comfort all at once. Normally I like bare metal with aggressive texturing but this works just fine.At this point, I'm rambling so I will end my review here.SUMMARY: Hands-down love this tower. It's sturdy and functional. No issues with setup, no issues with design. The ONLY issue I encountered was the shipper, UPS, left this package "at front door", by which they should have said "in the middle of your dirt driveway, not even close to the door... Unprotected in the middle of a huge storm". This has no bearing on the product. Even though the box was totally wrecked, all internal components are individually wrapped which saved them from potential ruin.
