Works Like Magic for Stubborn Betta Fin Rot
My betta and I have been fighting fin rot on and off for a while now. Recently figured out what the cause for the tears that allowed fin rot was, and removed it from the tank. I've tried lots of things, from aquarium salt to tablet based anti-fungal/bacterial medicines, which have all worked mildly for him. He was as happy and energetic as could be, but it was sad to see his fins torn and short all the time. I did some research, and I decided to try this Stressguard. My thought process was this: combine aquarium salt and Stressguard. The salt helped disinfect any open wounds, and the Stressguard would come in, bind to the exposed proteins in the wounds, promote regenration, and create a strong slime coat to protect against any foreign bodies. It worked perfectly! This combination, plus a 50% water change every day for a week straight allowed my betta to consistently regrow his fins back more than I had ever seen before. This product is awesome. You just mix in the appropriate dosage for your tank, and done. You can safely double the dosage, and you can add this to the water every day until your fish shows signs of improvement, as the bottle says. Not only does it help with healing and regrowth, but it helps with the stress of new water/water changes every day during treatment, and he was just chilling out like his normal self would and showed no signs of stress. The only downside to this product is that it does turn your water slightly blue and can stain, as it's a dark blue color, but that's no reason for you to not use it. I highly recommend trying this for stubborn fin rot. Protecting your fish's slime coat when treating fin rot is so widely overlooked, but I found it to be extremely effective.

Seachem For Life
Seachem StressGuard Slime Coat Protection is an excellent product and definitely helped my fish through ick. I was using Seachem paraguard to cure my fish ick problem and after a couple of days, I could see my fish seems stress and losing color and after I did some research people said Seachem StressGuard Slime Coat Protection was the product for the job so I bought it right away from Amazon. Once I received the product I used it right away and after a couple of days I could see my fish colors coming back and he seemed a lot happier. After 3 weeks my fish is ick free and stress free as well great product will defiently buy again.

A must have for Discus
So just to clear things up for anyone who is unsure. Paraguard & stress guard can be used together. I recently got back into discus and in knowing how sensitive they can be I wasn't sure what to use during quarantine. I watched a couple of videos & did some reading & reviews on line & the paraguard was highly recommended. There wasn't anyone using it with stress guard but I figured I'd give it a try. So here is how I used it. I ordered the first 7 discus & I didn't do as much research on the seller as I should have (I won't mention sellers name but just believe cheaper is NOT the way to go) anyway when I got them they were skinny, doing a whole lot of rubbing and 2 had ich. That being said I turned the heat up to 92°(this high for fish who can handle high temp only) & treated with both stress guard & paraguard for 2 weeks (put temp slowly back down to 84° when done). All fish survived & are doing great. Now as for the second batch of 9 discus . They came in healthy (more reputable seller) so I did just 3 days of both. Now if you are doing a 2 week quarantine like you should if you see any trouble you can restart both until you see they are doing better (2 weeks if sick is best). Make sure you remove carbon from filter when using paraguard. If your using stress guard alone for injury you do not need to remove carbon. I hope this helps . I highly recommend both products
