Great basic scope that doesn't break the bank.
Update: Fog Proof testing!I tested the scope to see if it was fogproof. Putting it into the freezer for over an hour, it became more than cold enough to form condensation on the outer lenses once I took it back into the 70 degree climate in my apartment. (That's normal and will happen with fog proof optics exposed to rapid temperature changes.) What did NOT fog up? The inner lenses! No fog, no moisture, no ice crystals. As far as general testing can confirm, this optic is fog proof, so it is sealed and injected with nitrogen or a similar gas mixture that resists temperature changes and prevents moisture condensation internally! So for under $100, this indeed appears to have real tangible value to it as a pistol scope. This information ought to be in the listing. But I did the work for you. For free. I'm nice like that. Enjoy!I'm only just now starting into long range shooting with targets. I didn't want to use a reflex sight or red dot. I felt a scope would be better. It's awfully hard to find one below $100 that's worth anything. It's even harder to find one below $100 that's fog-proof. Don't ever use one that isn't if you plan on going from day to night outdoors. It'll fog up and you won't see out of it. No one had mentioned if this was or not, as far as I can tell BSA seals their scopes and fogproofs them standard. (Found that from their website with a little homework.)So far this one has me impressed. While it doesn't come with scope rings that's not a big deal. A pair of Redfield steel rings are all of $10 or less.So I spent about $65 total. I had a smith sight it in for me initially, the image is crisp and clear, and most importantly it's not a telescope mounted on a pistol like so many others. It's made for pistols. If it works on you're rifle, great but honestly it's made for handguns. Bear that in mind.I've seen people claim it holds up to .44 magnum recoil. I wouldn't try that personally. Mine's on my Ruger MKIV Target, so rimfire is never going to cause it to fail unless it's defective. It does come with a 1 year warranty if you have issues. (Heard mixed reviews on BSA service for returns.) Its easy to mount and configure and is pretty low profile.Combine this scope with a Tandemkross Shadow Picatinny Rail for a Ruger MKIV and you don't even have to remove your rear sight, AND you get a scope up top! Win-win, baby. Now that's value. Pictures show you how mine is setup.Shooting range report will follow this soon enough going to take it out to 60+ feet if possible to see what groupings can be achieved with a shooting rest or bag to set it on. This scope is exactly what I wanted and a good value in every way
This scope is exactly what I wanted and a good value in every way, but I had to return it. Half of my shooting is at 30' and despite what it says in the question/answer section, at 30' the image is blurry. Chrystal clear at 20 yards, though, and the duplex reticle is excellent, so I would recommend it for anyone who's not shooting short range paper targets.

Satisfied.
Really nice little scope. Unlike my last scope, this one does have a adjustable eyepiece. This is really important to me since I wear glasses. Without an adjustable focus, either the crosshairs, or my target are blurry depending on whether my glasses are on or off. The lockring was easy to turn, and the eyepiece bell had a wide range of adjustment. It's also small and light, exactly what I was looking for.Only con is that it doesn't have finger adjustable windage/elevation. Other similar scopes in this price range, like the Hammers scope, do.

Perfect for break-barrel air pistols. Crisp view. Highly recommended!
I need to say first that the optics on this scope impressed me; crystal clear view at any range and crisper images than the Centerpoint scope I use on my .177 cal air rifle. As I use this primarily for pest control at 30 to 40 feet, the 2X magnification is perfect. It took me only 7 shots to get this scope zeroed in. I'm using this on my Umarex USA 2252267 Browning 800 Express .22 Pistol with great results. At 10 yards using a pistol rest, I had RWS Super-H-Point .22 Cal, 14.2 Grains, Hollowpoint, 250ct pellets group at 3/4", with 4 of the shots almost on top of each other at 3/8" (Center-to-Center).If you use this scope on a similar .22 cal spring-piston pellet gun (such as the Hatsan 25), I strongly recommend using AccuShot Premium Mid-Profile Airgun .22 Ring for 1-Inch Scope (4 Screws) to seat the scope. These use four screws per ring instead of two to help eliminate slippage from the substantial recoil the pistol produces. I have heard that two-screw mounts can slip for this reason. Because the BSA has its parallax fixed at 50-yards, I also recommend tightening the set-screw on the rear mount even if your pistol doesn't have a set-hole for the screw. Doing this will raise the rear mount slightly, help adjust a bit for the parallax setting and minimize the elevation adjustments you will have to make at lesser distances. After about 10 rounds, I had to tighten up all the mounting screws, and then again after another dozen or so shots, but some 200 rounds later the screws remain perfectly tight. One of the things I like the most about this scope is that if your head strays or the pistol strays right or left, you lose the view entirely. This means that you can't possibly miss if the scope is properly sighted, your target is centered in the cross-hairs and you use proper shooting technique.I have had great success eliminating pests over the last 2 weeks, and I attribute most of this success to the scope. It will dramatically increase your accuracy, and it can even help you improve your shooting technique because it will eliminate the variables that come with using standard sights. It has turned from an average marksman to a regular "dead-eye", and it has increased my pistol shooting enjoyment ten-fold. I highly recommend it for use at 50-yards or less!Enjoy your scope and, as always, shoot safe.

It's a good scope for plinking
I bought this for a Ruger MK IV for fun. It's an excellent scope for a .22 pistol. I would not recommend for a rifle as it is not designed for that use and the eye relief is too long for standard rifles. It is what it is, nothing more nothing less. If your looking for something to add as a cheap toy, this is your scope.

used it on a ruger mark IV, it was ...
used it on a ruger mark IV, it was ok didn't expect much from a scope in this price range.. I did however end up replacing it with a burris fast fire.. so I do kinda regret this purchase.. but do not blame the scope... I certainly wouldn't use this scope on anything more power than a 22LR
