I like these chin straps. They were easy to apply to my wide brimmed hats.

Even though there are no "eyelets" in my hat, I managed to pierce the fabric with the metal tabs at the of the string so that it actually works with my hat. But don't be stupid like me and open the package with scissors. There were 3 strings in my package and I managed to destroy two of them in the opening process. Fortunately I only need one. And at $5.90 a pop I can certain afford more.

Chin strap comes with metal tips and leather keeper. Great but difficult to lace it on a existing hat that has gromets in existing holes. Metal tips on new strap wont fit thru existing grommets on original hat. Be great if could buy the cord, tips and keeper as a kit so could assemble it on an existing hat.

The end metal pieces of the strap are too big to get through the holes on the hat.

My old hat's cord broke and I didn't even know I could replace it, until I found these cords. Definitely long enough. A bit bulky for my need but others looked too thin so they'd break eventually as what happened to my old one. These are sturdy. Successful purchase!
