KS1 English SAT Buster 10-Minute Tests: Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling (for the 2022 tests)

Great way to prepare your child for the new style KS1 SAT. My son is a relatively good at English but needed some additional practice. I have used Bond books for him before, which are good but felt that the CGP books are great for the current curriculum. I bought this book to assess his ability and also as a revision tool for the new KS1 styled test for his forthcoming SATs. This CGP book is packed with short, sharp tests for KS1 grammar, punctuation, vocabulary and spelling. They are mini versions of the real SATs tests and are fully up to date for 2017 and beyond. The book is separated in three sets (set A, set B and set C) with four tests, a spelling test and a scoresheet in each set. Each test comprises of 9 questions and spelling, 12 words. There is a script to follow for the spelling test to make it close to exam conditions as close as possible which I found quite handy. As your child progresses through each set, they become more challenging. The score sheet alLows your child to make note and keep track of their progress.We have started to worked through the book and I can see him improving already. The CGP books are great for consolidating what they are learning at school as it focuses on the new curriculum. They are simple to use and are straightforward. Great to use if you're also home schooling and following the current curriculum Highly recommend.
