I need a regular length pencil not a short one ...does any one know the actual length of these pencils ?

The length of these pencils would be about 7 inches, based on measuring a similar item here and comparing its geometry to that shown in the illustration.

I got black. They are hard to write with compared to grease pencils that I remembered. If you're looking for a solid streak, I doubt you'd be happy.

what are the ingredients of this pencil? like the animal ingredients, which animal?

Couldn't find anywhere on the 'Net the exact ingredients of this pencil, even on the material safety data sheet (MSDS) on the manufacturer's (Ticonderoga Dixon Co's) website. I did find (doc=dated 1997) a site that lists the ingredients of grease pencils as: wax (paraffin, beeswax, ceresin, carnauba, spermaceti), colorant (pigment or dye), tallow (beef or mutton), alkali (potassium carbonate), stearic acid, filler (talc, kaolin).
