Great textures and tastes
An absolute brilliant book. I can't praise it highly enough. I have been a vegan for a few years now and being an overworked teacher I tended to get my wok out, bung some vegetables in, add a few nuts and call that dinner. Nothing wrong with that you may add but.... anyway now I'm. Lockdown teaching 3 days a week I am using the 28 day guide, cook a meal that cooks 2 meals - that's tomorrow sorted ! It has introduced me to different tastes and textures. It also highlighted to me the importance of grains. Cooking has become my new mindfulness therapy to get me through Covid .Finally he talks a lot of sense from his own me x ical practice.

The best evidence-based whole-food plant-based cook book to-date
This book has never been more relevant, when it’s obvious we need to be eating more plants for our own health and that of the planet. Dr Desmond works tirelessly to publicise the proven benefits of plant-based whole food for health and continues to help many people, as well as posting inspiring food on social media. This book is full of easy to make delicious recipes with all ingredients available in a typical supermarket. It is beautifully laid out with easy to read recipes and a photograph for every recipe. There is plenty of science to back up a whole-food plant-based diet, with references available online. I have quite a few plant-based cookbooks and this is the best so far, and I have already tried quite a few of the recipes. For anyone trying to eat less meat, these recipes are so good it wouldn’t be missed.

My 'Go to' Bible for a healthy life
I have been eating a vegan diet for a few years now, although eating a lot of vegan processed food so wanted to improve my health as I get older. There is a difference between eating a vegan diet and eating a whole food plant based diet. I think this book is amazing. It is written by a consultant who is an expert in his field and not a celebrity as many books are. It is full of expert information on how to eat a whole foods plant based diet and informing you what the damage a western diet does to your body. It has a 28 day plan with loads of recipes, all with beautiful colour pictures which inspires me to want to cook them. It also has a shopping list of what to buy. All in all this is the best whole foods plant based diet book I have ever seen.

Brilliant!
What an excellent book! Beautifully and simply presents all the wonderful health benefits of a whole food plant based diet and then gives you the most delicous recipes and tips on how to get started. Great book, containing the evidence base, great anecdotes from peoples own experiences, great recipes and great photos. Five stars from me!

Good book - and it must be the future!
Not sure what the issue is with the other reviewers complaining about the size of the type - yes it’s small (about 10point) but it’s perfectly legible.Maybe up the carrot intake a bit ?
