I wasn’t expecting to like it this much. It’s super soothing. I can turn it over set it down and just listen.

I liked it for the calming sound and the mesmerizing affect it has on children. They love to sit and watch it.

I first saw this rain stick from a youtuber reviewing a few "gadgets". I found it here, put it on my wish list. It remained there for over a year. It had mixed reviews, some folks were disappointed the sound did not last longer. Well I will say I have a traditional wooden rain stick, 27" long. I compared the two… turning them over simultateously. I thought for sure the longer wood rain stick wood last longer, it did not. The sound lasts about 15 seconds with this little clear stick and with the 27" wooden rain stick the sound lasts 5 seconds and its twice as long! That being said, how could I be disappointed? And as a bonus I can watch the small silver beads cascading downward. One can turn it horizonal and send just a few beads at a time through or use a little magnet and play around. Its like a fidget spinner of sorts. But to me, much better. If there was a longer clear version of this I would definately buy it. I only wish I was a bit more resourceful and I would attach two together. I guess I am a kid at heart. I am very very pleased with this little rain stick.

It would be helpful it the beads descended slower

I bought this for my toddler to mess around with and he loves it. I know it’s not meant for young kids but it seems to be made well enough. We don’t let him alone with it, and we don’t let him smash it around. It’s exactly like I expected it to be. The little balls fall from on side to the other making a rain-like noise for several moments. My husband and I like it because it’s not super annoying like a lot of toddler toys can be. And it’s not gaudy looking like a lot of toys are. I do think that the $20 price may be a bit steep for all it is, but overall, I am glad we bought this.

The rain is very short lived because the metal beads are very tiny and it sounds a little metallic. It was nicely wrapped. It was exactly like the photo. but for me the sound is very short lived unlike a wooden rain stick. Cute if you just want a novelty show piece.
