Bell's Palsy Handbook: Facial Nerve Palsy or Bell's Palsy facial paralysis causes, symptoms, treatment, face exercises & recovery all covered Review: Hope for Bell's Palsy: Helpful and Interesting Information for a Steady Recovery! - This Bell's Palsy guidebook is extremely helpful and was written by Alan Mc Donald who explains he's been experiencing facial paralysis since birth. His valued perspective and wisdom are found on all the pages of this book! As someone I know personally was just diagnosed with this about a week ago I thought it would be a great book to understand the information as quickly as possible. Preferably you'd want to read this book as soon as you have the initial symptoms. Like within 48 hours! This person I know had a CT scan of the brain, was put on prescription steroids, anti-viral medication, eye ointment and eye drops. This all seemed to help a lot in the first few days after the facial paralysis on the right side. Alan Mc Donald gives hope that not all cases are permanent. In fact people can recover in weeks with the right treatment. This author also discusses what to eat and mentions supplements that may help like B vitamins. The main reason to get this book is for getting the information as quickly as possible so you can start the recovery process. Also there are descriptions and photos, plus illustrations of exercises that may help recovery to be sooner. I am not a doctor, nor is this medical advice. I've just seen a major improvement in the person I know who is feeling much better a week later after having the problem start on a Saturday. Now they are feeling confident that things are moving in the right direction. They saw a doctor by Monday! To be honest, try to get to your doctor as soon as possible. The person I know was referred to an emergency room but that was only because they wanted to rule out other things with a brain scan. The doctor/nurse practitioner had it diagnosed in a matter of minutes. Pregnant women may want to read this book if they are experiencing symptoms. Some of the remedies are ((not)) advised so would be good to know about. ~The Rebecca Review Review: Helpful information for a Bell’s Palsy sufferer. - I was struck with Bell’s Palsy and was unable to get into a neurologist for months. I ordered this book and received it the next day. SO much helpful and useful information and written in clear concise language. This should be given out in medical environments to newly diagnosed sufferers as an informational guide.

Diagnosed with Bell's Palsy on 01/05/22 and knew nothing about it!
Very Useful & Informative Book! I was just diagnosed with Bell's Palsy on 01/05/22 and knew nothing about what caused it, how to cope with changes my face was going through and exercises to use to improve my facial changes. Thank you so much for publishing this book. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this book. I was not!

Great read!!
I recently got diagnosed with Bell's palsy so picked up a copy of this book on Amazon as soon as I seen it. The author takes a complex medical condition and breaks it down into layman's terms. It's well written, informative and easy to understand. I have been practicing the facial exercises daily for only 2 days and I CAN ALREADY SEE A BIG IMPROVEMENT in my condition. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with my purchase and I consider it money very well spent

Excellent Book
This book is simply and clearly written for the layman. It gives explains both medical and alternative options and, even more valuable, gives self care methods of massage and exercise that make healing available to all who suffer from Bell's Palsy.

A close family member developed Bell's Palsy recently and when it was diagnosed by their doctor I frantically began searching online for all the information I could find on the subject. I came across this book on Amazon and immediately purchased it. It was nice to find a paperback on the subject because I much prefer reading hard copy books than kindle books. The book is easy to read and gave me all the answers to the questions I had. I know much of the information in the book is available online but it's nice to have it all in one place. The book contains detailed facial exercise illustrations which they have been practicing daily. I'm not sure if it's the steroids the doctor prescribed for their Bell's Palsy or these facial exercises, or a combination of both, but their condition has improved DRASTICALLY in recent days. I'm very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this book to others without hesitation.
