I enjoyed my visit to Alberta in the year 2002. I later went up to visit Yellowknife, Northwest Territories on the next part of that trip. This is an excellent informative book about the Edmonton Oilers ice hockey. I liked this book because I learned some new facts that I did not know before. I read this book for my personal pleasure and personal knowledge. Some of the interesting information that the author of the book mentions in this book include the following information: The Edmonton Oilers ice hockey team began playing in the NHL in 1979. The Oilers had to pay a $6 million franchise fee to enter the NHL. Edmonton's biggest NHL rival is generally thought to be the Calgary Flames, as the two share geographic proximity. Edmonton originally chose the team name of the Oilers because the city was in the largest oil-producing area of Canada. Today, about 6% of Edmonton's population works in the oil industry. Oiler owner Daryl Katz made a significant portion of his fortune in the pharmacy business after attending the University Of Alberta. He later donated $7 million to the school's pharmacy program.

There are a few things I know about Edmonton- It’s harsh winter, one of my friends live there, and the oilers! This is a good trivia book for Hockey enthusiasts! It’s concise facts, challenging yet fun questions, and the fun team spirit you get whilst reading this in your home. A great find for a gift I'm going to send to my friend!
