Dude mucho al escoger esta cuchara, el principio de funcionamiento me parecía bueno pero su apariencia no me convencía nada!La verdad, funciona de maravilla y sobre todo si el helado está duro (recién salido del congelador). Se siente sólida, resistente y entra mucho mas fácil que otras cucharas que he tenido. Cuando ya tienes la bola, se abre la pinza (la misma cuchara) y el helado cae solito! Si el helado está medio suave, funciona bien pero la bola se pega un poco a la cuchara tal como pasa con calquier otra cuchara o pala.Parece que trae un recubrimiento antiadherente por lo que solo hay que lavarla solo con una esponja suave y evitar el contacto con cuchillos o cosas que la puedan rayar.Definitivamente no es la cuchara que quieres presentar en sociedad pero hace muy bien lo que debe hacer y parece que va a durar unos buenos años.

This is my second one, the other is for my cottage. Friends are surprised to discover such an item in my kitchen. They all want one. I only received this ice cream scoop today, but I wasted no time in trying it out!I really love the design of it. Squeeze handles together to scoop, release handles and ice cream falls perfectly into your bowl without sticking. Fantastic.The diameter of the scoop is nice and big as well, so it'll only take you a couple scoops to have a nice sized portion in your bowl.It's also very lightweight due to being aluminium with a non-stick coating.The picture shows the "Good Cook" logo on the scoop itself, but mine came without any branding at all.Otherwise it is identical.Apparently the non-stick coating could potentially come off, so as the instructions say, make sure you hand wash only and don't put it in the dishwasher.I've included some pictures I took of the scoop itself and the packaging it came in.

By FAR the best ice cream scoop design, quality and product EVER!!!!!!I was hesitant to buy this because it looks so odd, but in hindsight the very fact that idea was ever in my head proves my nincompoopery. That was the thought of a mere simpleton with no imagination, unable to see the future of ice cream scooping.The non-stick coating somehow seems to just slide through even the hardest ice cream, easily cutting through without effort (or breaking like every scoop I've ever owned eventually does, sending a creamy scoop across the kitchen into the wall, your wife's face, or the couch in the other room).Makes perfect scoops every time, and then that perfect little scoop (straight out of a 1950's malt shop), just falls out exactly where you want to put it, without struggle, or leaving half of it stuck in a gooey mess to the scoop while your 5 year old cries impatiently.Honestly, I can't believe it took over 100 years for someone to invent this fantastic little scooper! It is PERFECT (unless you have tiny Oompaloompa, or Smurf sized hands, it is a little wide for kids to use). Whoever invented this deserves a medal, and a million dollars. It isn't dishwasher safe, which I thought immediately was an issue since it is both strictly verboten, and sacrosanct in our home that everything can be washed by our robot slave, but the non-stick coating just rinses off spotlessly under the tap.In short, this thing is magic. Not dark, evil magic. Think rainbows, unicorns, and beautiful princesses with corsets type magic.
