Easy to use and very accurate
I used this bit set to make a roll top on a desk and found it easy to use and it created a very smooth sliding top with out the need to use canvas as is the usual method

Excellent. Bought through Amazon with excellent service from the seller.
The bit set is great! And it comes with detailed instructions to build a bread box with tambours. The instructions have a couple of fairly minor errors in the text and pictures/drawings. And, they have a Lonnie Bird joke in them. He says this is a fun little weekend project! He doesn't mention that he means several weekends! You'll need a good router table and quite a practice session properly to cut the tambour slats, but they do work excellently when things are set up correctly! And you'll need a 9/16" dado bit (which Amana will sell you) for the slot in which the tambours slide. And you'll need to build a couple of templates. And you'll need to glue up some panels and mill them to thickness. I recommend the bit set bought as one, since you really need it all. It was a fun challenge! Excellent!

Best tool for the job
This is the best set of tambour door bits on the market. Set up was easy and all three bits cut perfectly smooth profiles the first time and the one hundred fifty first time. No more gluing fabric or tring to drill holes for wires. This set makes easy to fit parts that are absolutly beautiful when assembled. The roll top door I created looked great and worked without getting stuck or out of line the way the traditional tambour fabric doors always do. The only thing I don't like about this is that I didn't think of it first. I highly reccomend the Amana tambour door bit set to anyone who wants a roll top door but never wanted to go through the hassle. This was easy.

This is not easy but the results are great
The round-over bit is not needed. They should put in the 9/16th bit instead. I think the round-over must be a leftover from an earlier version of this set. Hence 4 stars. You need more than you think. I ended up using 21 double slats (i.e. 41 of the final, single tambours) for 68 cm. Could have gotten away with a couple fewer, maybe. Each final tambour (after cutting the "'double"), gives you about 17mm net. And you will certainly mess some up. So make extras. Be patient with the setup, take your time to center the bits, as there is not a lot of leeway. Listen to the pointer that says that the hight should be such that the bottom of the bit barely touches the stock. Not sure you really need to make two passes.I used a double height feather board, and one from the top and one after the bit.I made this to cover a 43 inch TV. It worked great at the end, and is so satisfying. Do not underestimate the power of the dark side, I mean the time it will take, this is not a fast and easy thing.Still, worth it.
