A Real honest entry into a Japanese honesuki without breaking the bank. WORTH EVERY PENNY
Out of the box impression, WOW! you will not be disappointed aesthetically when you see it. Absolutely what I wanted in a Japanese honesuki. I look forward to the blade developing a patina. It is worth the $79 I paid I will look into their gyuto now that I have felt this company's craftsmanship. It is sharp but can be sharper but it is absolutely sharp enough for tinkering around with a chicken. If it performs as good as it looks it's a HOMERUN at this price point!

Sharp as razor BUT,
Okay since I received this knife back in early August I have been using it cutting up meat, very sharp, and then hand washing and drying, but apparently the steel quality is not that great and not rust resistant b/c it is showing multiple discoloration spots on the knife on both sides. I have tried applying oil wipe to see if it makes any difference but that did not work. which makes me believe it is not rust resistant.

great quality
This knife is well made. I use it every time I'm cooking, has quickly become one of my favorites. I keep it looking new with a small polish stone soaked in water and a little food grade mineral oil before putting it in the drawer. Very pleased with this purchase!
