Several years ago I got a spider bite. My leg swelled up and I could not walk. I used Bach rescue remedy, agrimony and crab apple. I had heard that crab apple was for cleansing -- I did not know it was for "self-disgust" or psychological issues. I stopped taking rescue remedy because I was not in danger.
