These aerator shoes totally work. I like them, and they do pretty much what I hoped they would do. I didn't give it 5 stars because one of the nails got a little bent, and more clumps of dirt get stuck between the nails than I had hoped for, but overall, this is a really good product and I would recommend it.

The shoes come unassembled, so every spike needs to be installed, and they come with no instructions. I wear a 10.5 size men's shoe, and the straps are not large enough to fit around a sneaker. If these are useable at all, I'll have to use them barefoot. When I try them on barefoot, the back strap has about 1/2 inch left for the clasp to grab. The hardware was incomplete: Product arrived missing one nut, so one of the spikes is unusable.

I really like the idea of the aerator shoes. Honestly, I never aerated my lawn, but wanted to do this for so many years and it was always so expensive, this is a great alternative. I received this product as a discount for my honest review. These shoes work best for big foot sizes so I made my husband wear them. It is good that they have straps and slots for the straps so you can adjust to some extent the "holding" area. These shoes came with plain black straps, not velcro straps. There was no instructions in the package, which was a negative. So I am still trying to find what would be the best way to secure them on my feet. And they must be secured very well, as it takes a good force to pull them out from the ground.The assembly of the screws was not hard, but one nut had a bad threading on it and I had to go to the hardware store to replace it. Not a big experience of course, but a big inconvenience.I have received this item for a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. To summarize - you can use these aerator shoes, they are very economical way to aerate your lawn, but you better have someone with a big foot to do that, and you need to figure out your own way on how to secure them on your feet and figure out how to make these successful.
