Exactly what I needed!
Exactly what I needed! I needed something to protect the top of my very large formal dining table from my children. I got the whole $15,000 set (table 8 chairs, china cabinet and buffet) for $900 from a moving sale. Glass company wanted $700 to make a custom glass top for it. My table cloth just kept sliding off. I bought this to put under the table cloth and some of those mattress sheet clips that hold fitted sheets on. It's perfect now! My 5 year old can play up there without destroying it and my 8 month old can't pull the cloth off and have everything fall on him. There was also enough left after cutting it to size to put a piece on the buffet under a cloth to protect it and a piece on the top of my entertainment stand to protect the top of it as well.

it looks like there is someones old laundry hidden underneath
Arrived tightly folded and heavily creased. Won't smooth out. With a tablecloth on top of it, it looks like there is someones old laundry hidden underneath, peaks and valleys. Fail.

I think I received a damaged one
I bought a larger one and it was great. This one is crooked, has a dirty spot and a 3inch slice in one spot. Not sure if I just got a reject or the quality is inconsistent. The durability is great though. It is 3x as thick as the fall tablecloth from Home Goods you see in my picture. I planned on using this under a cloth tablecloth so my table is protected. I will need to exchange this one though.

Garbage - do not buy this!
I used this table pad one time on my painted dining table and it completely scratched the table top. The finish is ruined!! There is some very fine sharpness on the back of the pad. I threw it in the garbage. Don’t waste your money!!

Not Anything Special
I typically purchase flannel backed vinyl at the local fabric store, which works fine. I thought I would give this a try hoping that it would be heavier than what I already have. It's not - for the price, I was expecting something thicker. I'll keep this, but likely won't repurchase next time.

... than the less expensive version and it works even better than expected
This is a heavier wieght table protector than the less expensive version and it works even better than expected. SLay it out and it is smooth under a tablecloth (it is not meant to be used alone) and the flannel backing won't scratch your fine wood. It also protects the table top from hot serving pieces and spills. Very happy with this purchase, will get another to cut down to size for a smaller table.

Excellent table protection
I am very happy with this table cover. Was thicker, more padding than I expected for the price. Was easy to cut to fit for under my tablecloths. Will give excellent protection to my wood table. Doubt any liquid can get through, flannel on one side and vinyl on other. There is no smell and the creases flattened out and do not show under tablecloths. Recommend.

Works well as a table cover for crafty sorts : ).
Smooth, white surface to do my crafts on without destroying the dining room table. That's not the intended use, apparently, but it's my use and I'm loving it. Except for the spot where I accidentally melted it with the hot glue gun. D'oh.
