I was thrilled when I was chosen to receive the Pets Tick Remover Tool For Dogs, Cats, Horses and Human'Pack of 2 Blue (Small & Large) - Safe, Easy, and Fast Method of Removing Ticks(One Set) for free. All that was asked was that Iuse the product and then complete an honest and unbiased review. When I received the tick remover I read the directions and placed them in the kitchen drawer until they were needed. Since we moved closer to the woods I worry more and more each year! I'm guessing because of the mild winter here in Pennsylvania, there seems to be a lot in the of ticks around. We spray our yard and put insecticide products on our two dogs but they always seem to end up with a tick! Most of the time they are only crawling on them but sometimes I find they are attached, This time when I found an attached tick I placed the tick remover right under the tick with the slotted end push the tool easily towards the tick and the began spinning it in a circular motion between my two fingers. You can only imagine how surprised I was that the tick came out of Taz with out a problem. This tool really worked. I had the head and the body. I was so happy to tap the tick on the ground and step on it!!!!! Not to mention I saved me a vet bill because I didn't have to take him in to get it removed. These tools are wayyy smaller than I imagined. I had seen a video on tools like these and so I assumed it was the same thing. These are smaller than my finger. I imagine they will work great and we'll be able to slide it right under the tick. We get ticks so awful where we live. Last year, I had to pull one out of my daughters belly button. They give me the creepy crawlies. We use repellent on our dog, but they don't make a product for humans. Pets Tick Remover Tool For Dogs, Cats, Horses and Human，Pack of 2 Blue (Small & Large) - Safe, Easy, and Fast Method of Removing Ticks(One Set)These tools are very similar to the Tick Twister set of tools. Both are made of plastic; both work exactly the same way: slide the tool under the tick against the skin, lever slightly up and twist slowly, After a few twists, the tick usually lets go and the entire tick (head included) is removed. With this set, the larger tool had some plastic flash connecting the two prongs which would need to be removed/filed away before the tool could work effectively. Perhaps the quality control is not as strict with this particular brand, but I see no reason why this tool shouldn't work as well as the Tick Twister since they are basically the same design. In the package are two tools, one large and one small (presumably for the smaller deer ticks) as well as detailed instructions for using the tools. It stores in a little ziploc bag. Since neither my family members nor my pets (a cat and dog) currently have ticks, I have not yet had an opportunity to use this tool, but I'm fairly confident that it will work, partly because I've tried other methods (heated tools, tweezer like grippers, etc) with pets in the past (including a rabbit who had a tick on her ear) that were less successful and I've seen the Tick Twister used successfully. I will file an update when I actually have an opportunity to use this set to remove a tick. Though I'm fairly confident this tool set will be successful at removing ticks, I would be inclined to give this a maximum of four stars until I've actually tried it, but the flash issue means that the tool will need to be filed between the prongs to get rid of the flash, so I gave it a maximum of three stars until I have an opportunity to use it on a tick. When I file an update to my review, I will raise the star level, if appropriate.I received this set of tick tools at a discount for my fair and honest review.
