I make popcorn with it and it works perfectly fine every time.

This is so perfect for those who are seriously into limiting excess oil from their diet. The directions state to NOT put oil in the bowl prior to cooking popcorn!!! One reason in particular: Oil will make burn marks (or melt marks) in the bowl. The purpose of this bowl is to minimize the amount of oil consumed. There are two levels (inside the bowl) to which you can fill the uncooked popcorn kernels. The lower mark will pop the kernels to fill the bowl halfway. To provide a full bowl of cooked popcorn, you will add enough uncooked kernels only to the upper line! (Trust me, if you fill any higher, the popped kernels will overflow into the microwave). Remember to always put the lid on top of this collapsable bowl BEFORE you cook the kernels! I set my microwave for 5 minutes, and listen for the kernels to slow down to around one pop every 2-3 seconds. (Please Note: Popcorn will burn if it’s not removed from cooking in the correct time frame). Then, I place a dishtowel around the bowl to remove it from the microwave—The bowl will be HOT!!!! After the bowl has been removed, I dump half of the popcorn into a very-large ceramic bowl—and then, spray the popcorn (in the ceramic bowl) with Organic Olive Oil…and then, season it with salt (“or” plain cinnamon, which I love). And then, I dump the rest of the cooked popcorn (from the collapsible bowl) on top of the popcorn (in the ceramic bowl. I then spray the popcorn with the Olive Oil, and then, top it with the seasoning. (I shake the bowl occasionally to distribute the seasoning). I keep mixing and spraying oil until most of the popcorn is seasoned. Please Note: If you don’t spray enough oil on the popped kernels, the seasoning won’t adhere to the popcorn, (it will end up in the bottom of the bowl). To clean the collapsable bowl, I place it on the top shelf of the dishwasher. I have purchased this popper several times, to give as Christmas gifts. It is amazing.

I was surprised! Pleasantly! Corn popped out full kernels and no mess at all. Sure beats my air popper that has burned my fingers more than once. Happy with my purchase. Nancy S

Great popcorn

10/10 would buy again. I tried the traditional hot air popper that I used to love as a kid. But the one I got kept overheating and shutting off. I would get so excited for popcorn just to be disappointed when my machine stopped working. This cute little microwave device has been a winner. Has worked every time, barely leaves any kernels unpopped, and is so much healthier than regular microwave popcorn. Folds down and takes up very little space but one word of caution....it does get quite hot in the microwave. Use a towel or oven mitts when removing.
