It is small and isn't an accurate timer. But, it is very pretty and well made. No regrets here.

It’s perfect. Wonderful for games. Fun for kids and adults. Great size for a center piece for a mantle. Elegant and accurate! Timer works great! Use it every game night.

Small but beautiful

Not very large, but decent quality, seems like the decoration on top/bottom was done on an assembly line (rushed) but still very nice and worth buying. It is not glass but very cool. I told my kids it came off the Titanic.

Timer looks very nice and elegant... base was difficult to install (once done I would be very hesitant trying to get it back off without stripping threads). Once again: very nice looking - but not to be used for critical timing ... 15=14 minutes. :-)

this timer is adorable, no doubt! but, it's smaller than i expected. yes, i read the dimensions, but my brain saw it larger. i would LOVE to see this at least 12" instead of 8". that said, the quality wasn't what i expected, either. i think the parts that look like metal are actually plastic. and, it leans slightly, which is annoying for my ocd. i'll keep it, tho, because it is cute and works fine.

This hourglass is absolutely darling, and it's honestly far cuter in person than in the listing photos, so I would 100% buy it again. I've included a few photos, but here are what I especially liked:* The size is perfect because it's big enough to display without being too big and taking up a lot of space.* It is also actually metal vs. plastic, although it's definitely too lightweight to be true brass, so it's most likely an aluminum blend.* Since I plan to use this as a display piece, I honestly wasn't really concerned whether it was accurate as a timer, but I timed it just out of curiosity, and at 14:58, it was actually surprisingly close in that respect.* The "sand" inside has a lovely sparkly appearance that's more like crushed glass or mica powder vs. plain beach sand.* Before buying this, I couldn't tell if the flower/medallion detail between the two bulbs of the hourglass was clear/see-through or some sort of faux gemstone, so I was extremely happy to see that it's more of a "window" to watch the sand trickling through. Therefore, I'm including a close-up photo to try to show that.The only negative angle that I found was in regards to the gift box vs. the hourglass itself:* The gift box did actually seem to be made of decent materials, so it would have been a nice "bonus" detail if it was undamaged, but mine unfortunately arrived visibly crushed on one side of the box. In my case, I bought this hourglass for myself, so it isn't worth returning it just for that. However, since the outer box from Amazon was fully intact, the gift box was clearly a seller defect and not damaged during shipping.
