Does the Job on Woodburning Stoves
I've got a wood stove that had paint flaking off and I tried to repaint it using two different brands of high temperature paint only to have it flake off again. I prepared the surface by sanding and then cleaning the sanded areas but the flaking still recurred. I finally decided to try this primer (I was told by the person at the hardware store that primer wasn't recommended with either of the paints I tried). I followed the same procedure of sanding and cleaning (80 grit to give a good "tooth"). I then sprayed this primer. It is smellier than either of the paints I used so working outside or being able to open windows is a good idea. After the primer dried I then sprayed on the black paint. Now the stove looks like new and after numerous fires there hasn't been any more flaking.

Primer Lasts
I purchased this primer, paint and clear coat in Hope's of it being more durable for motorcycle exhaust than other products I have used. The above picture is after one short, local ride. Though the paint & clear coat did not hold up, the primer has continued to do well.

Awesome stuff
Like how it worked.

Covers well
This product put down a nice even base on my intake manifold to get it ready for top coat.

This Primer STICKS
This primer sticks to brass & copper, but I like KBS Coatings Fusionself Etching Primer even better & would use that product instead.

Great high heat primer
Kbs makes great stuff. Used on motor parts.

Didn't hold up on my exhaust headers
I followed the instructions to the letter, including curing and coating with KBS jet-black hi-temp topcoat. However, the surface of my 16 gauge exhaust header tubes (near the exhaust ports) became discolored after only a few hours of running the engine. Over the next few weeks those areas turned "bubbly" and rusty, so I scuffed and cleaned them and tired Rustoleum Bar-B-Q grill paint. For about 25% the price, the Rustoleum has held up significantly better over the past 3-4 months. I will saying the KBS coating is still doing OK on the header tubes once you get 3-4 inches away from the exhaust ports, but the Rustoleum should do just as well.

Doesn't hold up
Used as header paint with top coat. It doesn't hold up to heat from headers. It's been a few months and is flaking off like crazy. Especially after hard drives which indicates it's not tough enough for hi heat applications. Unfortunate because I prepped the headers quite a bit. Go with Eastwood instead.
