Downlight Cut-Out Repair Liner x2, 70mm Nominal, Protect-Repair-Reduce-Fill

These are expensive but worth it. I have lathe and plaster ceilings and the light fitting when removed say for decorating always causes damage which is difficult to repair. These rings are great as they prevent any further damage - easy to install too.

Really good results, I shall be ordering more.The pictures show the original holes in my ceiling, putting the c-fix In, plastering, and finished result after sanding and painting and rewiring light fitting.I found the most tricky part of the process was applying plaster smoothly, but you can always apply lots and sand it down like I did.Pretty good result for someone who doesn’t really do diy! The holes in the ceiling are now a lot neater and fit the light fitting correctly.

Plaster board holes were too large and the lights kept hanging out. Fitted these with adhesive- took 36 hours to dry- then a bit of filler. My lights were too big to fit so I cut a small section out and they were still rock solid

A really good solution to fixing hacked about plasterboard around a Downlight fitting. Saved loads of hassle and money and easy to use

This product works well. Neatened and secured the edge of the hole in the ceiling, which had started to crumble. In future any more ceilings which we change to recess lights I would use this product at the beginning.

A nice idea, but I struggled to get them to stay put, so possibly my own error. Ended up using a different solution.
