Buy these! You don't know you need them, but you do
Ever try to clean a bit of electronics, only to have your cotton swab start to bend in the middle, or worse: the cotton begins to come undone amd frizzes? I hate that. So I bought these. You should, too. From cleaning retro gaming consoles and cartridges to the finer pointa of luthier work, a good cotton swab is always a much needed and often overlooked tool. These are amazing, and they last. I can easily get 3 or more uses on a job with one of these.

a long time ago my mom had some wooden qtips and i remember loving them. almost 2 decades later i said hey i want some wooden ones. well here they are and damn my memory served me well. they seem just a little shorter than regular ones but man you can real clean your ear out with these. the cotton is tight and the wood is firm with out losing any comfort. get em'

Sturdy but improvement needed
On the positive side, they are sturdy, if that's what you need. On the minus side:* there doesn't seem to me to be enough cotton on the tip; and* the plastic case needs to be redesigned. with the front side scooped out or lower than the back so you can reach in and grab the swabs by the stick to avoid touching the tips (that's important to keep them free of germs, bacteria, etc.)

Good for makeup as well as art projects.
I prefer wood sticks for cotton swabs and they are becoming hard to find. No one seems to sell them in the stores anymore, or if they do they are really overpriced. These are decent swabs - they can break a little easier than some, but still good for the price. I use these to blend eye liner, but they are also perfect for art projects.

These work pretty well, and they are reasonably priced
Oh to find swabs with the old wooden shaft! These work pretty well, and they are reasonably priced. But they are not like the old ones. These wooden shafts are Thin. They break! But until I find the old, stout, ones, I still prefer the stiffness of wood over those weaky-wiggly swabs.

Got these for weapons cleaning
I got these because I need a stiff q-tip type product to clean areas of several rifles. These are exactly what I needed! Not sure I'd use these on the 'ol ears (Doctors don't exactly recommend that anyway), but for my use they're great. I will order again when the current supply runs out.

The best style of Q-tips are wooden sticks
I have always used wooden sticks Q-Tips even though most Doctors would not recommend them because of possible ear canal damage but the plastic or cardboard Q-Tips were worthless! These do the job and as long as you're careful no damage will be done!

Best wooden swabs. Great for wetting hinges in stamp collecting.
