Fantastic product! Used this to seal our bar and pantry countertops, which are reclaimed oak boxcar flooring. Turned out great, super easy to apply, lightly sanded after second coat per the instructions and added a third. After third coat lightly sanded (by hand with 400 grit) which gave us a smooth as silk feel. Looks great, feels great, easy to use, doesn't smell, all natural, what else can you ask for!

I applied six coats this product to two African Mahogany boards and got different results: on the quartersawn board, with its tight pores, the product produced a beautiful, smooth, lustrous finish. On the plainsawn board, with its open pores and thirsty surface, the product left streaks and was unevenly absorbed with resulting poor quality finish. I worked on both boards simultaneously so there’s no question of the product deteriorating between the one and the other. Fixed the unsatisfactory appearance of the plainsawn board by applying a couple of coats of the same manufacturer’s polyurethane finish, with which i’ve always had good results.

Satin finish was very matte like, beautiful finish, easy to apply, sand, and build. Holding up well after 2 months of daily use on a coffee table.

Great product. Not yellow. Stays open while being brushed out without lap marks. Dries quick though. Brushes out like an oil base. Dries to that hand rubbed look. I like much better than original gloss polywhey. On small intricate woodwork it stays open long enough to smooth out nooks and crannies. Works on oil base stained wood, as well as acrylic painted decorated areas on the wood. Very happy with this heirloom satin.

Streaky and difficult to get adequate coverage without multiple applications

I love this stuff! I have used a lot of water based finishes, but I always end up coming back to this. Extremely durable and it's the absolute easiest finish coat to apply. Period! This stuff has an impressive dry time but it doesn't dry all thick and tacky like other products. I usually do about 6 coats and this is easily doable in 1 day. Try doing that with oil based or any other water based product. It's not going to happen. It works great as a wipe on or a brush on. I use an old shirt or a foam brush. Excellent results!

I'm really sensitive to smells and this stuff absolutely doesn't smell. I applied it indoors, windows closed, didn't bother me at all. It goes on easily and leaves a nice soft finish. Great product!

Love everything about this except maybe the bottle shape.-A bit pricey, but the bottle would probably go a long way-No toxic smell-Low VOC-Durable-Green, reusing cheesemaking waste/byproduct -- whey-Easy to use, just either brush on wish foam brush or wipe on with a cloth/rag, sand with 400grit sandpaper every 2 coats.-Doesn't change the color much, maybe deepens the wood just a little bit.
