This sconce supposedly produces twice (180 lumens compared to 100 or so) as much light as some of the other similar ones. I don’t think it’s very bright, however, but it suits my needs. All of my low-voltage yard lighting is brighter than this light. It was super easy to install and provides enough light for my dog area in the back corner of my lot. I just need enough light to be able to see the dog doo that I am scooping up. It has two settings...low and high. They don’t seem all that different. I was happy that the light already had power stored in it so it already worked immediately out of the box when I turned it on. If you need to put it on a 3 inch post that doesn’t have power for it then it’ll do the job, but just don’t expect it to be super bright. If you have power running to your post then I would not use a solar powered light.

This outdoor lantern replaced a light that was rendered inoperable after the electrical cable was cut by mistake. The quotes I received to repair/replace the 75 feet of wiring was nothing more than robbery. So I looked into getting a solar light. The first light I purchased was disappointing. It didn’t stay on 4 hours after a full charge and was not bright. Needless to say, I returned it. I was pleased to find this solar light. It is easy to install , well built and above all—-stayed on all night after a full charge. It has two settings for brightness. The higher setting is awesome and provided exceptional lighting for my entire front yard. This product is a great value for your money. It’s satisfying to purchase a quality product from a manufacturer that meets and exceeds expectations. I recommend this solar light. 😊😊😊!

Awesome lights

Lamp works great unless it is overcast or snows. Lamp is bright even on low setting. With Minnesota's long winter nights if we have overcast skies only has energy for a few hours - on a snowy day only a couple hours. Sunny days lamp set on low setting will be bright over 12 hours.

After 4 years and major storms, my solar light is still going strong. Wow!

Final update: After installing the batteries and turning on the light, it works brilliantly (ha!). This time of year, I don't expect the charge to last all night long (and it doesn't); however, it is bright when switched to the highest setting. In order to allow the light to last longer, I turned the setting to low (effects the brightness for now, but oh well). I can't wait to see how long it lasts when the days become longer.All-in-all, a great purchase. Just don't expect the charge to last from dusk to dawn during the winter months.Update to the post below. I opened up the battery compartment to find that the batteries were not hooked. Waiting for another sunny day to fully charge and I'll update again.I have an FULL SUN front yard. I charged this according to directions for 3 days before turning it on. It does NOT light up AT ALL. I will give it one more day for good measure and will update my review after testing again. I am beyond disappointed.

These are very sturdy and solid. We purchased a set of 2. They have helped provide a nice substantial front entry appearance and greatly added to our curb appeal. We installed them on decorative front post walls replacing the older electric post lights with these solar post lights. We were concerned that they may not be bright enough but they are just what we needed. They are a nice soft warm white. There are two settings on the lights we started out with the soft because being in a neighborhood we wanted to be sure they were not bright for our neighbors. We then changed them to the bright setting and because it is a soft light the bright is not glaring.These maybe a little pricey compared to other post lights but at this point I think they are well worth it. One disappointment was that they don't come with the post mounts. We purchased a style that would cover the hole where the older electric line came up throught the post. Which created a nice clean install.The solar lights are so nice as they are dependably on daily, unlike the electric lights we had previously. When the electricity goes out in our neighborhood (which occurs several times a year) we still have our solar lights that come on and light up our entry.

Easy to install. I have one of these in my backyard and one in the front. They run all night in the summer. In the winter snow can build up on them and they won’t charge. I use a blower to clean them off. I was concerned that they wouldn’t get enough charge in the Canadian winter. They one in my backyard runs all night in the winter (no snow) but the one in the front yard doesn’t always run all night. It does get less exposure to the sun because of the surrounding trees. They give a pleasant light that is bright enough to provide some nice ambient light. An excellent replacement for my old natural gas lights.

Very impressed, high quality, performs great. On high it lasts through the night so far(spring). Just the right amount of light, not too bright, but more then just an accent light.Very happy, would buy again.

Ordered this , Gama Sonic GS-97B-F Imperial Bulb Light Outdoor Solar Lamp in November of 2020, and today the 23rd. of March 2021, I installed it on my existing gas lamp post. Only then did I find , that there was no bulb! A nice looking well made lamp, but without a light bulb. Double check the contents of the box when you receive it to be sure all parts are there!
