Impeller just fell off
Pump seemed well-made, but this morning I found that the impeller (the part at the end of the shaft that spins and sends water out) just fell off the shaft. Looks like it was designed poorly, with the impeller connection not well-matched to the pump's torque. This problem has bad fallout -- if the impeller just falls off like this, the pump will spin indefinitely with virtually no resistance. The pump is likely to burn itself out. In any case, my basement was left completely unprotected due to this significant design failure. I installed this pump mid-January 2019 -- it failed early July 2019. Note that the impeller was not broken or damaged, it just failed at the connection to the shaft.

Great pump
Shipped and delivered as scheduled. Basically plug and go. Did have to adjust the float a little. Did that by adding length to the cord. (Pulled on the cord from the float end about one inch.) now cycles correctly. Been in use for four months now.
