Just Listened 3 times in a row
I'm a big fan of the book - and my daughter loves it as well - so we were hoping for an interesting CD. It's a terrific, rocking mix and we can't wait to see the movie this weekend,

Good collection
Enjoyed the movie, liked the music bought the cd. Be careful who you purchase from my cd was made of cheap quality and scratched very easily. Now only maybe five songs don't skip. Should have bought it from ITunes.

a little bit of this and a whole lotta that!
I love the way this cd starts out. A good funk, and talking about summer, cause it is February and COLD! Corrine Bailey Rae sets the tone correctly. Honestly there aren't too many songs on here that I haven't heard before but I adore each one. It is almost like a mix tape that a good friend would make for you to cheer you up. I know My Morning Jacket is exactly a household name yet but they should be, or Wilco for that matter. (goodness they both RULE FACE!) I could honestly do without Maroon 5 and their song on this soundtrack didn't help my dislike for them at all. I will admit I was nervous about little hottie Scarlett doing my man Jeff Buckley's song, Last Goodbye, just by how much the press had butchered her when her CD came out. I thought she did it BEAUTIFULLY! I was very impressed. Buckley was a beautiful singer songwriter and I was scared, but I applaud her!My dogs LOVE the Talking Heads' This Must Be the Place, But I am sure they have heard their mama play it before. If you don't like that talking heads, you might need your head examined. ;-)Overall I give this a a fantastic. Keep me happy and satisfied as I ran my errands!

Decent Soundtrack
When you take a look at the track listing for He's Just Not That Into You Soundtrack, you'll immediately recognize at least a handful of songs. This soundtrack plays like a mid-90s mixed tape, with a few more recent exceptions. Most notably, Scarlette Johansson sings "Last Goodbye." It's an enhanced CD that includes video of her singing the song in a night club. The clip was apparently cut from the film. Other than the video, the "enhanced" part of the CD falls flat. There are a few links and nothing else of interest. You'll likely recognize and maybe enjoy the tracks by Talking Heads, R.E.M., The Black Crowes, and The Cure. Not surprisingly, "Friday I'm in Love" made it onto this soundtrack. I didn't skip over any songs, like I usually find myself doing with soundtracks--heading straight for my favorites--but I can't say that I'd listen to this one more than a handful of times.Tristan Prettyman's "Madly," is a melodic, getting-over-it type of song that brings up mental images of driving away from someone. Scarlette Johansson has a surprisingly lovely voice. "Last Goodbye," is reminiscent of lounge jazz. It's entrancing and a great listen. If you haven't heard most of the songs on this soundtrack already, it's worth buying. For most people though, it's not going to knock your socks off or anything. It's a pretty typical, romantic comedy soundtrack.

Great mix of songs
I really love this soundtrack, which has a great mix of songs from new and classic artists. I've always liked The Human League's "Don't You Want Me, The Cure's "Friday I'm In Love," and Lilly Allen's "Smile," and now I'm a fan of songs and artists I've never heard of before I received this CD, such as Tristan Prettyman's "Madly" and My Morning Jacket's "I'm Amazed."New artist Erin McCarley's "Love, Save The Empty," is a catchy tune that is one of my many favorites on the CD, and I was quite impressed with Scarlett Johansson's cover of Jeff Buckley's "Last Goodbye."The He's Just Not That Into You soundtrack features a lot of great, upbeat songs that just get stuck in my head. I could keep listening to the entire CD over and over again. Lately I've been listening to the CD while I've been doing housework--it makes cleaning so much more enjoyable. If a CD can make housework more enjoyable, you know it's a good CD!A cool thing about the soundtrack is that it is an enhanced CD, so when you pop it into your computer, you'll view a deleted scene of Scarlett Johansson singing the Last Goodbye. The He's Just Not That Into You: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack has a great mix of songs from a variety of artists, genres, and decades--there's something for everyone!

Great Mix!
I'm usually a fan of soundtracks. They remind of the mix tapes and cds I made as a teenager. I loved the craft of putting the perfect songs together for someone or some event. I'd sit in front of my music collection and build the latest creation. These days I still make mixes, but now they're in itunes, for my ipod or someone elses. This album is a GREAT mix tape...err soundtrack! It's full of fun, dance around your kitchen, songs. Yes, I was doing dishes when I popped the cd in! The album is full of new favorites, particularly James Morrison's "You Make It Real" and Erin McCarley's "Love, Save the Empty". I also really enjoyed the Cure and Talking Heads thrown in. It was nice to hear those songs again. A great surprise. All together, these 17 tracks really felt like a great mix tape. If you like that vibe and a good mix of great songs, go out and pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.
