A true review
It's probably best to give some details relating to the one star rating issues rather then just saying I think they are great..Too small. I have moderately. large hands and they fit me fine. They seem small due to their grippe nature. More about that in a bit. They transfer heat - Well duh, everything transfers heat if you hold on to something hot long enough and how long long enough is depends on how hot the hot is. I do a lot of smoking, grilling, and general cooking and have had any number of kinds of holders over the years. Current crop includes heavy leather, not quite welding gloves, kind of a knitted white "heat proof" fabric gloves, and these. of the three these gloves transfer the heat much slower then the other two or any other device I have used. Can't get them off - Well yes of course, their sticky so you have a good grip on hot pots, pans and grates . It's not pretty when you drop one of those especially if the grate has five pounds of hot brisket on it. After I received them I got a nice email from the Pres. of the company thanking me and of course asking for a good review. It also included some rather convoluted instructions about removing the gloves to avoid suction. Obviously he must live very far from any water deep enough to involve scuba diving and wet suits. A light dusting of corn starch, talc, or baby powder of your choice inside and they glove slip easily on and off. Reapply as necessary which isn't after every use. They are, for want of a better word, cumbersome - Granted you aren't going to be picking up dimes with them but they are a heck of a lot better then the leather gloves or any mitt I've ever owned and better protection then the knit ones and I don't see myself picking up dimes with those either. They are also far easier to clean then anything else I have ever tried.

LIfetime warranty honored
I've had this for about 3 years and its not used very often as it fits a bit loose and limits finger dexterity. It does limit the heat transfer from food and protects your hands for about 10 seconds (depending on how hot the item is) which is enough to place it from the oven, grill or stove to another surface without your hands getting burned. Recently my wife tried to take out a whole Hainanese chicken from hot soup and she scalded herself which never happened before. Turns out both the base of the thumbs webs had holes which is probably from a manufacturing or design defect. I've tried emailing the company 3 times ([email protected]) since the new year and they have not responded. Its supposed to have a lifetime warranty which is why I bought it but its no good if they will not respond.Update 2/15/19Was hard to contact them but after the explanation it was understandable. They went the extra mile in replacing the gloves with the newest version and gave my wife a small sized version. The new gloves have better grip, better feel and better flexibility plus the lifetime warranty.

Gecko Grip gloves top notch product/customer service
First item of business, quality, this is top notch. They give you the needed grip when dealing with meat that want to slip and slid everywhere. They protect your hands from both the searing heat and the gooey mess that comes with pork fat making it easy to manipulate and carve whatever you want. Second I MADE A MAJOR MISTAke when i ordered my first set. I thinking I had a smaller hand ordered the MED/Large. They were extremely tight and I was ready to order another set due to my screw up, but what I didn't expect was to receive an email from the OWNER of Verde Products, Tracy Beggs took the time to email and find out what I thought of there product! I was flabbergasted to see that type of customer Service in this day and age. We emailed back and forth and I explained my deliminia about the fit, they were not the correct size and Tracy had me measure and email him a picture of my palm with a tape and then a picture of the glove on my hand which showed the tightness around the knuckles. The response was an immediate shipment of the next size which arrived to my house in two days. They fit like a glove (pun intended) I was ecstatic, first for the product (got a new smoker this year) and its function, fit came next with the new set. But I screwed up on the size and I knew it. Then the owner takes time to email me and find out what I personnel felt of there products made me the happiest customer around. You cannot buy that type of customer service, finding the same is like finding a needle in a field of haystacks. Outstanding product, Outstanding Customer Service, you will be pleased, but make sure to follow the sizing directions when ordering!!! Tracy keep up the good work.

They work and are good for the price, but I'll be replacing mine.
I've been using a pair of these for a while now. Initially I thought they were great. The more I use them the less I like them. They are fantastic for providing insulation from heat and they certainly clean up well and easily. What I'm starting to dislike is the way my hands stick to the inside of them. If I'm cooking quite a few items and constantly slipping these on and off it becomes an annoying chore once your hands get the least bit sweaty and the finger pockets become suction cups. I've also grown a general dislike for the surface. It should be grippy with all the bumps, but they are all polished smooth. Any moist food you try to pick up tends to slide right out of your hands. If the manufacturer reads this...You might consider changing the bumps to a smaller radius on the edges to build a little sharper edge which might "cut into" the item being picked up. I would also look at changing the surface finish of the mold. Polished surfaces and chrome plating is great for longevity, but leaving it a little rough would reduce the propensity for moist foods to slip out of your hands. You might also reduce the material thickness at the base of the fingers by a few tenths of millimeter to allow them to flex a little easier and perhaps bunch up a bit less.

Safe, grippy and much safer than cloth oven gloves
Easy to clean and do work like they should. The only small issue is that if you are holding onto to something hot for a long period of time you do start to feel the heat in the tips of the fingers. This the only smooth area on the gloves, which is the reason for this. The grip is great and definitely no slippage and more grip than cloth gloves. You also don't have the issue of bursting into flame if you accidently brush the element when removing a pan from the oven or griller. Being able to wash them in the dishwasher is another bonus.

Fantastic!
We use in a laboratory for handling hot metal flasks from boiling water. Best gloves we've ever come across and better still, seem to be able to use both gloves on one hand! Will definetly purchase again although such good quality, won't need to for quite a while!

They work
A bit large but useful and can be washed under the tap whilst being worn. Recommended.

Awesome addition to my home BBQ setup
Awesome addition to my home BBQ setup. I have quite small hands and the medium size is a good fit for me. Great value too.
