Finally tried mixing in some hydrogen peroxide, which is what I should have probably used in the first place. You really need to use this every single day to see any different at all, and let's face it, water would probably be as effective if it were wiped under your dog's eyes daily with a cotton swab.

I have a Shitzu who gets tar like gook around his eyes. Its so bad that if you dont clean it all the time it can seal his eyes shut. I tried the tear stain remover and it really helped with keeping the discharge away. This is a great product.

Seems to work pretty well, my dog (wheaten terrier) suffers from tear stains pretty bad. It doesn't seem to irritate her and I always get some of the staining off. If I were more consistent with using the product it would be better.

Over the last few years I have tried several tear stain removers. This product by far is the best. Why? Because it actually works! I will definitely purchase again in the future/

Unfortunately this liquid didn't help at all, despite the fact the tear stain on my dog's face is minor. I am returning it. Very disappointed

Molly's eye's were really discolored. This has done a wonderful job of removing the stains. Now the only problem is getting her to hold still while I clean them!

It might work, who knows? I can never get Josie to hold still while I apply it.

This stain remover is great! We recently inherited a white dog from relatives who moved out of the country and didn't bring the dog because he was too old to travel. We have another dog who is black and we never had a problem with tear stains before, even with owning cats for almost 20 years we never had a problem with tear stains until now. This dog has really bad tear stains and even after cutting all the hair on his face he still has some pretty bad tear stains. Giving him a bath doesn't really help either and neither does using the wipes you can get at the pet store. Those might help to maintain the area but not to get rid of the stains. This tear stain remover really works well and I am so glad I found it. I have only used it once so far and it got rid of all the footers around the left eye and most of the goo era on the right. The right has much more build up on it than the left. I think it will all be gone after the second application. There are still the discoloration of the fur in the area but most of the debris is gone. I am hoping after a couple weeks of application the discoloration will disappear but if not I can cut the fur back and let new in stained fur grow. I will definitely be using this to maintain a tear stain free face on my dog. It seems like a really gentle solution and doesn't have a strong smell, it's really quite pleasant. I will update this review when I have more results.
