Concept solid, book construction repetitive. If you know index investing, you'll only read 30-50% of the book.
The previous review is accurate - the book basically repeats itself over and over again for half the book regarding the point that professional money managers can't beat the market consistently and make lots of transactions to increase their fees. If you are aware of the benefit of index investing before reading the book it will take maybe 10-15 pages for you to be on board and thinking "ok, I get it, now tell me what to do"... thankfully he says at the end of one chapter "by the way if you are on board already skip to chapter 38". Essentially, I believe that as a constructed book it's a 2/5, however I give it merit because the concept is solid. I think if it were straightforward and to the point it would be harder to justify a whole book. I started the book one evening and I finished it within an hour or two because I skipped half of it.If you aren't aware of what index investing is or why you may not have heard of it, it's worthwhile. I would, however, recommend Ramit Sethi's "I will teach you to be rich" instead because he discusses all facet's of personal finance, including index investing. Much more bang for your buck. Note that if you are >35 years old some of it may not 100% apply to you. Still, for similar cost I would recommend it instead if you were to only get one.

rather easy read. However
Finished in one sitting, rather easy read. However, read the Random Walk Down Wall Street prior and had many parallels. If you are new to investing this is a great book to start, however, for seasoned or intermediate investors I don't think you'll learn anything new.

Easy book to read
Was recommended to read this book. It wad ok, was expecting more. This is a good beginners book for investing. Easy book to read as the font size is quite big.
