Anyone know jow these compare to the VS knockout leggings? As far as compression and the soft thick cotton material?

These are better than the VS knock out leggings! I love the VS leggings, but not the price. These are definitely the best for the price. And doesn't stretch or get funky when washed.

Will a 3x fit a size 22 plus size?

It depends on what kind of fit you are looking for. I am 5'7" tall and 232 pounds. I normally wear 1X or size 18W-20W, but I ordered 3X because I do NOT want tight compression pants that make me feel like I'm wearing a tight girdle. The 3X fits like a dream! Heavenly comfort all day with just a little compression that gives light tummy control and supports my arthritic knees. Wide, extra-high waistband does not slide down when I sit, and POCKETS for my cell phone and keys when I am out and about. These are the leggings I have been searching for!

My hip size is 43". What size do I order? The chart is confusing.

Maybe try XL. These run just a tiny bit large but they are SO comfortable. When you open the package, you might think, no way is this tiny thing going to fit me, but it will. The leggings also help with shaping and tummy control. I absolutely love them.

are these of the soft matte material or the smooth, slightly-shiny spandex?

So I’m totally opposite for the likeness below. I like the more smooth shiny look and not the brushed matte feel/look. I just ordered the olive in the capris and they are brushed/matte. The style is too heavy feeling and it picks up animal hair of any kind or just lint in general. I have 3 other colors regular style and they are shiny but the the black one is matte. I save that one for colder weather. Sending back to try again for a shiny one!
