Really nice

Loving this slip leash so far!! I was mixed about my decision because I thought you had to spend a lot of money to get a nice product but i was pleasantly surprised. I have been using mine for about a week now I have the 6 foot 5/8 version for my 82 pound pitbull mix and it does very well. It is stiff at first but as of now mine is getting pretty soft and darkening. I can see where it might "frey" a little on the sides but so far so good! I love it!

Great quality. A little stiff out of the package, but a little leather conditioner had it soft and more responsive in no time. Will definitely last years...

Have had this for about 3 months now and still looks brand new. Pretty sure it’s been left out in the rain and also chewed on but you would never know. Tons of compliments on it too.

Writing this review after using it for a year. It was fully broken in after a month or so of use, the leather cinch/stop thing loosened up and stopped working after about 6 months, but doesn't render it "useless." This lead was very well made. We use it every day and it definitely helps reduce his pulling/dragging. I'd recdomend it to anyone who has a large dog that pulls/drags. It helps with all types of training.

We adopted a 120lb St. Bernard who is still a puppy. We originally chose a pinch collar as he pulled on his leash a lot. Took him to a trainer and he recommended this leash worn high on his neck. I was dubious but it's amazing how good it is. A bit stiff to begin with but softened up after a few weeks. So much easier to slip it on rather than wrestle with a metal catch. Henry lll just wears a comfortable bandana in between walks rather than a collar.

Easy on and off, looks really good except for the one the puppy chewed through. Would be 5 stars but the stop is kind of useless, too hard to move at first then too easy to move once broken in.

This is the second Mendota lead I own, didn't replace the first but added a longer 6 feet one.These are high quality leads and the rolled leather is better looking and far more functional than rope type equivalent.Very happy with this production.

Use this for our GSD it's a lovely strong well made lead.
