Virtuo - Pro Series 902L Detail Paint Brushes for Oil, Acrylic and Watercolors, Long Handles (12)

I used the number 4 flat brush to paint routed letters on wood signs. It worked well to keep the paint within the boundaries of the routed letters and made that painting task much easier. With a number of signs to paint, I was looking for an easy effective method of painting the many letters neatly and swiftly. The number 4 flat brush fit the bill for this task. I am not an experienced craftsman, but just a person using a new router for a project and trying to complete the project successfully. This brush set has a variety of types of brushes for various detailed painting. I am going to explore the use of the other brushes in the set which all seem to be well made.

I am an artists . I paint everyday . Some days as much as ten hours a day. These briushes only hold up for about two hours then every aspect of them fails. You can actually sense their deterioration as you use them . I wish I knew of a brush that could. actuality. Hold up to the rigors of constant use .

Of the bunch, only four are useful to me. They are well made and feel good in the hand. Many of them have long bristles with a wishy washy tension making them more suited for water colors than oils. The shorter bristle brushes are excellent.

I just used the brushes today, and they are just what I needed for fine lines on my paintings. They seem to be good quality, but time will tell. I always clean my brushes very well with a cleaner to protect them after using acrylic paint on them I never let the paint dry on the brushes. It is an incredible price point to get a dozen brushes because each brush at most art stores would be 3-5 dollars approximately for each. So far I love them.

NOT LONG HANDLES! I ordered these because the description said long handles, and these are standard. The main reason I ordered these was because it has been a struggle for me to find long handled detail brushes. I'll keep them, because I'm sure I'll use these for other painting, but it was a disappointment.

They were great the 1st 2-3 times I used them. Soon after the bristles separate defeating the purpose they are made for. I will have to keep looking for finer brushes for detailed works.

Excellent brushes! I bought them for my daughter who has been able to create pictures with very fine detail thanks to the small size. She is currently painting a picture of AT&T baseball park so small that is will fit on an iPhone 5 case. Complete with a crowd of tiny fans and tiny baseball players. They arrived well before I needed them. I would recommend both the brushes and Pro Artist Supply.

The small ones aren't small enough and not tight enough, some hairs are longer than others, the big ones are fine but these are not good for miniatures
