It has been a little over a week since I used the dye and so far my hair hasn't fallen out. I relaxed it 2 weeks before dying. My hair is naturally dark reddish brown but the red isn't very noticeable so I wanted to use the light Auburn color to enhance the red. The color is more noticeable, closer to the dye swatch on dark brown but it's more copper. I have thick hair and the dye left it feeling kinda dry and hard so I followed the conditioner with leave in conditioner and olive oil. My main comment would be on the dye instructions. It says to do roots first THEN the rest of the hair. I smoothed a bit over the length of my hair as I did my roots but my roots still came out WAY brighter than the rest of my hair. The color subsided a tad after the next wash but it's still clear that my roots are brighter. Not distracting or ugly but I can tell. I'm not sure if this is because I had relaxed my roots. Someone said that relaxer makes hair more porous so it absorbs color more readily; I combatted this by only leaving it on my hair for 25mins but I guess that didn't help. Next time I'll wait 3 weeks after I perm.Another comment I have is that it took out my perm a bit. Made it a bit kinkier. Overall, nice dye. Relatively gentle. Scalp itched a tad for a few days.

I absolutely LOVE this hair color, but unfortunately, it’s been hard to find lately. I color my hair way too often, and in the past, it used to damage my hair. After my sister, a cancer survivor, recommended I avoid ammonia in hair products, I switched to Garnier Olia Ammonia-Free Permanent Hair Color, and I haven’t looked back. I’ve always had strawberry blonde hair, and I mix this with the Garnier Hair Color Olia Ammonia-Free Brilliant Color Oil-Rich Permanent Hair Dye in 8.0 Medium Blonde. The result is perfect every time—rich, vibrant color without the harsh chemicals. I just wish it were easier to find in stores! Highly recommend if you're looking for a gentle, yet effective hair color.

I bought this as an alternative to using ammonia smelling shampoos and used Light Auburn. I have previously died my hair with copper red, but that had faded by the time I used this product (dyed it last October). Pros: - It does not smell like ammonia, but instead has a pleasant, almost floral scent. - It washes out quickly. In fact, I didn't see any bleed the second time I washed my hair which is extremely unusual in my experiences. The reasons I don't give it more starts are several: - It was hard to find an appropriate color. --- I have previously died my hair copper and wanted to continue my copper trend now that my previous color had faded. Unfortunately, the color options of Olia don't match most other dyes, even other Garnier products, with their copper version being very vivid red whether you use intense or not. After searching several pictures and options I found that Light Auburn was closest to what I wanted if a little on the brown side. The lack of selection and difficulty finding certain colors is a drawback. - It is no more gentle on your hair than other dyes. --- I did not find that my hair was softer/healthier/etc. even when using the supplied conditioner every day (which was what it took to get my hair back to feeling even slightly healthy, but my ends were still very dried). - Uneven coloring. --- My biggest complaint. As I said, I have dyed my hair at home many times and perhaps it was user error or because the consistency of this is like very sticky, but my hair was not evenly dyed. Worse, as the color faded it became even more uneven. Two weeks later my hair is now three different colors - my regular color at the roots, this color after that, a darker version of this, then a lightened version at the tips. It is subtle enough that one doesn't notice at a casual glance, but I would say it is still noticeable. Luckily it just looks like my hair is growing out, but still the worst permanence of any dye I have used so far. All in all, I was not impressed with the selection, application, color, and longevity of the product and would not recommend it. I haven't had much success with Garnier in the past but had hoped Olia would be different. Alas, not.

I really love the way the color stays, the way the hair dye covers all the gray and whites without drying my hair. Olia is the only hair dye that I will use , and as long as they keep making the light natural auburn, I will keep on buying Olia ! Great product!

This was my first time dyeing my hair, and I decided to use the shade Light Natural Auburn (6.43). My natural hair is a medium blonde, about 20 inches long. I was limited to one box of dye, which made me nervous based on some of the reviews, but I felt like one box coated all my hair very thoroughly. The resulting color was not as strong as I expected, but I was quite happy with the subtle coppery red tint it gave my hair. The color faded fairly quickly; a month later, it seems completely gone. While I might have preferred the color to be stronger and last longer, this dye did make my hair feel super soft and well-conditioned, with a nice floral scent. I chose this brand because I was concerned about dye damaging my hair, but this seemed very gentle. Overall, I think it was a great choice for a first-time hair color.
