Saw Palmetto Standardized Extract with 45% Sterols 320 mg, 100 Capsules

I've found saw palmetto quality to be hit or miss. I used some of this a couple months ago. When I ran out, I bought another brand (which also claimed to be a standardized 320mg extract). A few days later, I realized that the other brand wasn't effective.So, despite having two bottles of saw palmetto, I ordered more of the Sonora brand. And......it was effective. After writing this review , I now realize I just need to accept that straying from a "known good" to something else was foolish and I need to toss out the competitor's product rather than having it clutter my fridge (I do recommend storing any brand of saw palmetto in the refrigerator).I also like the white capsules that Sonora uses. They must be heavier duty...since you don't get the typical nasty odor/taste that most saw palmetto extracts seem to have.

OK I may be crazy but I swear this stuff has stopped my hair from falling out. I'm in my mid-thirties, and about a year ago my hair started falling out like crazy. It would be all over the shower, the sink, and the floor where I dry my hair after I shower. I would put pomade in my hair, look at my hands afterwards and see tons of hairs that had fallen out. I did my research and decided I didn't want to take any prescription drugs, so I decided on Saw Palmetto. It took a month or two before I started to notice a difference, but my hair slowly stopped falling out! It was crazy how effective it was. I take one of these pills daily with food - I don't remember if that is the recommended dose or not but it works for me. My hair simply does not fall out anymore, I definitely have balding in my genes but I am happy this is working for me for now.

When reviewing a nutritional supplement the devil is in the details not the number of stars you assign it. That's way too easy. So here I am reviewing a 100 cap bottle that has only partially been taken. I am a male, into my 70's and looking for a nutritional product to improve a weaker urine stream that is almost guaranteed to men my age. I’m writing under my husbands account. I thought maybe this would help with my acne and I think it made it worse, but it did seem to help with PMS somehow. I actually thought I lost weight on it too because as soon as I stopped it I started gaining a few pounds again. I’m not overweight but I do have middle-age water weight gain and this really seem to get rid of it. Too bad I am acne prone.

There are many different companies that make a version of Saw Palmetto, and Sonora Nutrition is but one of them. It seems to be as good as any I have used before. The price certainly was right and the quality of the extract is good too. I am hoping to see some relief from some of the prostate issues I have.

The lable on bottle in ad on Amazon site shows 85% fatty acids and sterols. Lable on product I got did not show fatty acids, just said 45% Sterols. This is wrong, to send out a bottle that varies from the photo. I've included a photo of what I got and another buyer confirms same. I did notify the company to correct the description but after a week it hasn’t changed.
