Heat Demon ATV External Grip Warmer Kit (210007)

PROS:Everything you need to connect and use itCONS:Get's REALLY HOT on highYou cannot normally install it as the instructions say.The instructions want you to remove the handlebar 'grips', install the heater, then replace the grips. This is not possible unless you have VERY LOOSE fitting grips.I put these inside grip 'covers' for an ATV that has pockets for hand warmers and it works great. I stuck each warmer between two pieces of aluminum flashing (to absorb the heat) with high-temp silicone and slipped them into the pockets. -DO NOT- wire them to use the HIGH HEAT setting! They will get so hot they MIGHT burn you or any surrounding material!

I like this product, but buyer should be aware that this is not recommended for motorcycle use. The instructions state that it could melt the throttle tube (if left on high too long I presume). This product is for ATV's that use a thumb throttle. The listing does not make this clear and I ordered it not realizing it was not recommended for motorcycles. I sent mine back and ordered the kit meant for motorcycles. I just have to pay return shipping, but it would have been nice to have a more accurate listing.

Used these to replace worn out grip heaters on a ski-doo. I had to do some research to figure out the wiring but once I had that these made for a quick replacement. I only used the heaters so I can't comment on the quality of the switch but I would bet it's is as good as the heaters.

It works. It does not get smokin' hot, just kinda warm. I would get the one with the extra thumb warmer. It is my thumb that gets the coldest. But be careful, some ATV charging systems are not up to heavy accessory use. I left these on by accident and drained my battery. The stater was so stressed trying to recharge the battery that it failed. Cost me $600 to fix. Wire this so it is off when the ignition is off, much safer.

Units work great. The day I put them on it was 22 below so the glue did not work so I held them in place with black tape and once they warmed up they stuck. Good items.

I installed these on an Arens snowblower for about 25% of what the factory heated grips cost. Ive now used them about a half dozen times and the work GREAT!

Great quality product. The wiring, the switch, everything is built to last --- nothing here is cheap. And it works great too!

i used these on a street bike. didn't melt throttle, I think your hands get to hot first & turn them down. I did insulate throttle tube with foil tape, just to be sure. good price. tried some really cheap 10 watt ones from a large asian country,you can barely tell they're on. I will buy these again

Does the job...but had to buy new grips to fit over this product...used mountain bike grips. $7.00 fix..they do heat up...
