Folixor Natural 5 mg 50 tabs [Health and Beauty]

I was so pleased to find this product on Amazon.com! My wife and I lost our first baby due to a neural tube defect that resulted in anencephaly. The doctor prescribed a 5mg dose of Folic Acid for my wife since it appears her body has some trouble absorbing it effectively. The funny thing is, most pharmacies only carry up to a 1mg supplement - even with a prescription. My wife also hates swallowing pills so taking 5 1mg pills was not good news to her. Then I discovered this product... Folixor is awesome! Our doctor was very impressed to find there was a folic acid supplement that meets his recommendation and the great part is, it is just one tablet that dissolves under your tongue! It even tastes decent! My wife loves these also and takes them daily now. Great product! Folixor, as I understand it, also makes a 10mg folic acid supplement and a folic acid supplement for men too! I am obviously not a doctor, but after all we went through with losing our baby at 22 weeks from miscarriage, I can't encourage women enough to make sure you are taking plenty of folic acid! I am also quite amazed that pre-natal vitamins don't contain more folic acid than they do (most have between 400mcg and 800mcg). This supplement is so important for proper spinal-cord and brain development in the earliest stages of the baby's life. It is necessary for the production of red blood cells and the synthesis of DNA (which controls heredity), as well as tissue growth and cell function. Our doctor instructed my wife to take it year-round and especially during pregnancy. So far I have not found another product out there that comes close to a 5mg dose... not to mention that is this affordable and so easy to take! We are very happy with Folixor and very happy with our purchase through Amazon.com. For those of you curious, folic acid is NOT toxic in higher doses (up to 15mg). If more than 15mg are ingested, there is said to be some possibility of side effects (which may include stomach problems, sleep problems, skin reactions, or in rare cases seizures). Folic acid should be taken with a good B12 supplement. If you are taking pre-natals or a quality daily vitamin, you should have no cause for concern. The great thing about the Folixor product is that it already includes Vitamin B6, Vitamin B12 and Vitamin C along with the Amino Acid L-Leucine, which is intended to help improve the overall bioavailability of the ingredients in the product - especially by increasing the absorption of folic acid into the body. This is an excellent product; one our doctor happily told us to keep taking and not worry about a prescription from the pharmacy! I absolutely and confidently recommend Folixor!

Second time I've purchased this product and it is great! I can't find another out there to compare it to.
