About this or a friend that was born and raised in Tennessee now moved to Colorado for several years and she was having a hankering for some country ham this Christmas so I ordered this and sent it to her house and she made it last and last and last forever because she loved it so much.

Yes, it’s salty. Country ham is supposed to be salty. Red eye gravy is also supposed to be runny, it’s ham drippings and strong black coffee. Other posters seem upset that they got exactly what they paid for.

This product was horrible

I had thought we were receiving one ham steak. However, it was 3 very thin steaks. We cooked in the oven per the package directions, and it was very tough. Not only that, but it was so salty to be practically inedible. I’ve had smoked and cured ham many times previously, but the taste and salt level were off the charts.And the red eye gravy park was also a waste of time, as it was basically brown salty water. I added some cornstarch to thicken it, as well as some hot sauce and a little brown sugar, but nothing helped so I poured it down the drain.Quite a disappointment all around. We won’t be trying this again.

Love smoked ham but this had odd taste
