This book is really well written & covers all the topics you need from before conception to postpartum. The topics were exactly what I was looking for. The book's presentation & chapters made me feel relaxed & calm while being informed. I knew I could get through this birth process even though some options aren't available right now due to Covid-19. I am a high risk, over 35, first time mom & this book was perfect for me. I feel empowered, more in control & prepared after reading this book. It also helped me relax knowing I had the information I needed without attending a birthing class. My classes were canceled due to the Covid virus. A plus - after ordering this book the complementing online class is being offered for free due to the virus. If you order this book, I highly recommend taking the online class on Motherly's website! It is really well made & can be taken at your own pace!

Very detailed and thorough information you'll need to know before, during and after the pregnancy. We bought the book knowing that it's tailored to the US readers but for the most part, it applies to all moms-to-be.

Hat mich sehr gut durch die Schwangerschaft begleitet. Die Kapitel entsprechen den Schwangerschaftswochen sodass man immer das lesen kann was gerade aktuell ist. Dazu gibt es viele nützliche Kapitel zum zwischendurch nachschlagen wenn man etwas bestimmtes wissen möchte. Das Buch vermittelt zwar sehr viel Wissen bestärkt einen aber dennoch darin selbst nach dem eigenen Gefühl zu entscheiden, was richtig ist. Das hat mir sehr gut gefallen, weil man besonders in der Schwangerschaft ja viele ungebetene Ratschläge bekommt, die einem manchmal das Gefühl geben alles falsch zu machen. Das Buch ist für den amerikanischen Markt geschrieben, deswegen sind manche Inhalte in Deutschland natürlich nicht relevant oder müssen anders gehandhabt werden.
