Best I’ve Tried!!
This is the only toothpaste I’ve tried that helps when I’m struggling with mouth ulcers! It doesn’t irritate my painful sores and has a pleasant taste. It is a small tube but lasts almost as long as the larger ones I’ve tried. It is a thick paste and has never been runny. I’ve purchased twice and will continue to use!!

Mild and Miraculous
About ten years ago I set out to find something that would cure the reoccurring canker sores that I was experiencing. A web search returned information about Squigle and I learned about the effects of sodium lauryl sulfate. With the order, Squigle gave you a downloadable booklet on how to combat canker sores through diet and lifestyle changes. This distinguished it from the pack, and I can say that it delivered big time. I still get canker sores, but they are much, much less-frequent. I've also tried a number of other SLS-free toothpastes and thought I would include a short list of the competitors so that you can investigate them and make up your own mind: Squigle: Mild, minty taste; foams very well for an SLS-free toothpaste; leaves teeth with a "slick" feeling and maintains enamel; only toothpaste I know of that contains Xylitol which plaque can't break down. Biotene: Available in paste and gel forms; readily available in drugstores and grocery stores; mild and effective; does not foam as much as Squigle. CloSYS: Available in a 3.4 oz. tube for taking on planes (Squigle is 4.0 oz., but TSA probably won't mind); has a fairly minty taste; foams well; probably near or on-par with Squigle. Rembrandt Canker: Pretty expensive and almost impossible to find at brick and mortar stores; comes in a pretty sweet box; 3.4 oz.; has a whitening ingredient; feels more solid and you need to work it around to get it to foam; very strong minty taste may be too much for those looking for a mild toothpaste. Tom's of Maine (assorted flavors, though make sure to check the box/label to ensure it is SLS-free): Feels a little "plasticky" in that it just kind of slides around and doesn't foam much; pretty mild taste; cheaper and available in larger sizes; can most easily be found at Whole Foods or other natural foods stores. Squigle has a funny name, and most likely has to be ordered from the Internet, but I think it's worth it. Sulfate-free shampoos are really coming along and have become more readily available, but people apparently have no problem with putting SLS in their mouths. If you have suffered from canker sores, you will find yourself becoming a Squigle-vangelist. The price is high, but you kind of have to look at it like a quality of life thing.

YES!
I was suffering from mouth sores for about six months. I went to oral surgeons, dentists- no one could make it stop. It was so miserable I couldn’t eat (lost weight from it) and it hurt to talk. I would cry at night because I was so upset and in pain and scared. I used everyone’s favorite devil, chatGPT, and it suggested I might have an allergy or sensitivity to a certain ingredient used in most toothpastes (sodium lauryl sulfate) and suggested a couple toothpastes to try without it. I chose this one. Overnight. Mouth sores. Gone. I’m not kidding, I had had them for literally 5-6 months. And suddenly I didn’t. I could eat. I could talk. I wasn’t scared all the time about what was wrong with me. This toothpaste literally improved the quality of my life. It tastes fine. Normal toothpaste. It does NOT froth, really, so sometimes when brushing I feel like it’s not enough. But I think that’s just normal for whatever ingredients they use. Size is not great— I wish it was bigger. I order it maybe once every 3-4 weeks. It makes sense, looking back, because I have pretty sensitive skin. The SLS was inflaming my mouth tissues! So if you have sensitive skin and you’ve noticed any mouth pain or irritation, I’d seriously recommend trying this toothpaste. In fact, I hate how small the tube is but I’m still giving it 5 stars because it really saved me.

Wonderful toothpaste, especially for canker soars and other issues!
First off, I have to say, I've only used this for a day. But I'm already considering ordering a case. I always get canker sores, when one goes away another one always pops up the same day somewhere else! I've had one that's been killing me lately and just won't seem to go away, which prompted me yet again to try to figure out what causes these darn things. Which led me to discover the woes of SLS toothpaste. Grrr!! I've long suspected my toothpaste in causing and exaserbating them, but finally I had a specific cause and knew that going down to target and picking up a different toothpaste off the shelf wasn't going to change anything (SLS is in *everything*! Even many natural toothpastes such as Toms.) I've also long suspected toothpaste of irritating the back of my throat and causing sore throats, even triggering getting sick sometimes from it. So I came on here, did a search for SLS Free Toothpaste, saw squigle come up toward the top with stellar reviews and noticed the seller is DermStore, which just so happens to be in my town! So I drove down and picked up a tube, tried it last night, woke up this morning and my canker sore, while still there, is smaller and definitely not nearly as painful. Brushing this morning was not very painful - before, during, or after. I could kiss my wife this morning without problem. Now I'm sitting here noticing how nice and clean my mouth feels. The taste is pleasant and mild, it's smooth, it doesn't foam up a TON and choke me while I'm brushing, and my mouth doesn't feel as dry and crusty this morning when I woke up. Honestly, even if you don't suffer from canker sores, this toothpaste is worth the price, it's just so much more pleasant - I'll almost certainly have better oral health now if alone for the fact that I won't abhor the process of brushing as much and won't be so set on just getting it over with as quickly as possible. If you do suffer from canker sores - you shouldn't even be second guessing the price; buy some now and try it out at least, I seriously doubt you'll go back lol

Nice toothpaste without sls. Price should be reduced. Becomes too expensive.

Perfect toothpaste. My ulcer is pretty bad and used to dread the sting of brushing with other toothpastes, but with Squigle it did not sting at all, couldn't even tell there was toothpaste in my mouth. 10/10 from me

Highly recommend this product if you have a very sensitive mucosa and suffer from dry mouth and stomatitis. Very effective and feel it cleans the enamel better than other fluoride toothpaste.

I'm not sure what Stacy is on about I think she might be a Colgate or Big Company exec, but this toothpaste is the GOAT. The packaging is meh but it's like a fat chick with a great heart, it's what's on the inside that matters. Tastes great, doesn't make me wanna puke after use, no sore throat or dry lips. Just makes your mouth feel clean, now i've spent about $30 now trying to find a toothpaste like this and I couldn't find it. Burts Bees and Tom's both have Titanium Dioxide which has shown to cause cancer with animals, and any SLS free toothpaste I could find had no fluoride. Now I don't care what the hipster next door with crooked yellow teeth says, but you NEED this thing at least a little. After using Fluoride-Free for about a month I started having some decay and had to get them cleared as they were gonna turn into cavities. You NEED that thing, SLS and Titanium Dioxide are a huge NONO. Worth the $4 surcharge I guess but I wish it was a bit cheaper
