Rice Bran Extract is made straight from rice (gluten-free!) and is used as a binder, to make our frostings just a little bit tighter. This is our alternative to soy lecithin.

Frosting is great
Ordered different flavors, multiple times, direct and via Amazon. All the flavors are unique and complement everything from apples to waffles. The main issue with these types of products in the US and Canada is that they are too sweet. It's refreshing to come across a product that uses less sugar. Reminds me of some desserts from Europe and parts of Asia.However, some containers had a very noticeable difference in taste, impacting an otherwise great product. This may be the reason for some of the reviews that describe a waxy taste. In the photo, the container on the left had a huge difference in taste from the one on the right. Although the consistency and color is the same, the left container was top notch and the one on the right, waxy and slightly burnt taste. Manufacturer is quick to address and resolve issues if the product is not up to par and would assume hopefully working towards a permanent solution.

Hooray for cruelty-free frosting! And in my favorite flavors! Way to go, Dollop!
So happy to find this cruelty-free frosting -- and in five of my fave flavors!! Wow! We have had it on a vegan orange pound cake -- this is a commercially made cake which we like, but you can veganize any cake recipe. "Veganize cake recipe" Googled will assist if you are not sure.Ditto for any recipe.) We also topped vegan muffins (We are fortunate to have several vegan bakeries nearby, but these are simple to make, too) which gave us wonderful cupcakes! The peanut butter cookie dough and sea-salted caramel made us ecstatic! Much more tasting is to come. Vegan cupcakes and cakes are definitely in the future for this frosting. Hooray! A thin spreading of chocolate on vegan nut bread toasted or not will make your peanut- or nut-butter sandwich pop. A frosting on vegan New York cheesecake -- fantastically available commercially or simple to make -- is wonderful. For us, vanilla is right up there with chocolate with tastes we love: on veganized chocolate cake is something we are anticipating with glee (as soon as we can stop frosting the muffins from the vegan bakery down the street). Pantry staples for vegan baking are in most mainstream markets or can be ordered from Amazon and, of coursed, can be researched by Googling "veganzed baking." Cruelty-free! Always more delicious in every way! We are thrilled with this frosting! Way to go, Dollop! (By the way, 10 or 15 seconds (from room temperature) in the microwave -- we did it right in the uncapped plastic jar, making sure that every bit of the metal security seal was gone --enhanced creamy texture. Once the frosting is on your cake or muffin or cupcake, you can put the portion in the microwave for 10 seconds -- at least, give this a try to see if it is pleasing to you.) Do not leave it in the microwave long enough to liquify.)

Sea Salted Caramel Gourmet Frosting... natural, non-GMO makes this frosting number one on my shopping list.
The Sea Salted Caramel was truly delightful... :) The taste was absolutely yummy! With a quick whip before using (sometimes it settles during shipping and needs a quick whip with a spoon or fork. To bring back the fluffiness of the spread) Absolutely would recommend any of the Dollop Gourmet Frostings. For my taste. The Sea Salted Caramel is by far the most yummy! Being all natural, non-GMO makes this frosting number one on my shopping list. It is simply delish!
