Plein Air Painting Solution
So I have been an artist-on-the-side for years (also own an H-frame studio easel and an aluminum easel from my college days). However, I had never really tried the plein-air variety of painting because I was too self conscious about having strangers come up to me in public to observe me work. However, I'm not getting any younger and in seeing numerous artists around my area painting, I finally took the plunge. Unfortunately, picking out a field easel is no easy task. In fact, it took me months and a couple of returned French-style easels (too heavy) before I threw in the towel and just decided to buy something cheap, figuring that it would be no big loss if it didn't work. This is inexpensive but effective for outdoor painting providing one makes use of the hook suspended from the bottom to add a weight as a stabilizing force against movement caused by wind. There is a small bubble-level built in that can help with setting it up on uneven ground, which is also a nice touch. It is straightforward enough to set up for anyone who has ever used a camera tripod before. The only negative is that upon take-down a small metal pin popped out of the plastic telescoping bracket on one of the legs. If not found in the sand near where I was painting, this easel would have been broken on first use. (Suggest to manufacturer to include spare pins/screws in the box for just such a case.) Nevertheless, I can't complain for the price.Prior to this purchase, I very nearly sprung for a $300-$500 professional brand of plein-air easel, which comes with its own backpack. Thanks to Amazon reviews, I finally figured out what would work best for me. I bought a set of brushes in a zippered pouch, a wagon (collapsible with nylon sides), a lightweight, collapsible plastic water jug to suspend from the hook on the bottom of the easel for stability, a collapsible camp table to put alongside my camp chair on which to put my paints and pallet, a simple pillow case in which to stow my canvas (acrylics dry fast so that was an option for me) and a small backpack in which to carry my paints, brushes, water jug and this easel. (The cherry on the top: Half jokingly, on the way back from my painting session, I discovered that my Malamute-collie mix was more than happy to pull my "beach wagon" back to the car.)The easel itself comes with a nylon carry case, but the detachable tray was elsewhere in the box (very nearly missed it and threw out the box with the tray in it before I rechecked and found the "missing" tray). It's tricky but you *can* get the plastic tray into the pouch if you're persistent (although with care because the pouch itself is on the thin side). All in all, this was a great purchase that came after months of playing Goldilocks with field easels. This tripod-style easel is cheap enough that if something breaks I can replace it, lightweight enough that it's reasonable to carry over longer distances, and flexible enough in design that it can accommodate larger canvases — don't try that with a pochade box! — and stylish in the different color options. Having said that, some aspects of the construction felt a bit cheap (i.e. would have liked the tray to feel a bit more secure once attached). For the money, however, you really can't go wrong.

If it lasts through one painting, I'll buy another one.
It's cheap in price and manufacturing, but it's a pretty cool easel. I don't sell my art so I need to keep my tools cheap. It's worth the money and if it lasts through this painting I'll buy another one.

Easel stand
Not quite as sturdy as I expected, but works well for most part.

Easel
Using to hold a mirror for a wedding. The mirror is 20lbs and it does hold it. I just wouldn't go moving it around to much. Anything smaller and lighter it would be perfect for. I like how it can be folded up and put away. Overall I'm happy with this purchase.

Suitable for the price
As a beginner, I bought this easel to use while painting. It does its job quite well. The only issue I felt is its lack of sturdiness. It is a little bit shaky and sometimes while working, it may end up displaced being kicked!? So I kind of used a nano tape (dual sided adhesive) to hold it in place. Lol. Now it's good.

Perfect (for my needs)
Just unboxed it and am highly impressed with this item! You don't need instructions to set up, which took about 3 minutes. I'm getting used to placing the canvas on but I'm sure it'll grow on me. I'm also using this as an altar for my Sigel Magick practice which might seem off but with my current lack of privacy this will really help me outside, where I'll be set up 90% of the time.

Valuable for cost and style and efficiency.
I was worried at first thinking it was going to be too big for my space in my room. However, it’s very efficient in space. I love the color ( pink). Easy to set up as one, two, and three. It need no directions. I can carry it around with me to different projects. Above all the cost doesn’t do it Justice for the Style and Capability it has. I would buy several more for my students. This is very good, I used it when sketching as well as painting. It packs back up to a very nicely compact size and fits into my art shelf perfectly.

Unbeatable price
This is perfect if you have limited space. It’s so easy to set up when I need to paint at home or take with me outside. If you have limited storage space it compacts and could fit in any lil spot! Also perfect for travel :)

Easy, Versatile, Perfect!
I bought this easel for my 14 year old daughter who recently loves to paint. She had been using my nice wrought iron cookbook holder and getting paint all over it. She wanted an easel that could set up on a tabletop or stand tall on its own...and I found this!It arrived quickly (thank you!) and it came in its own zippered carrying case. She put it together all by herself super easily without asking me for any help. She extended the legs and continued her painting right away and loves it! She can adjust the leg height to accommodate if she wants to paint standing up, sitting in a chair, or on top of a table. The top portion adjusts to accommodate any size/shape canvas to hold it into place...even her very thin canvas board (see the second photo). This is an easy, versatile, perfect easel for whatever your project/need. I highly recommend buying it!

Light weight and versatile
This easel is amazingly versatile. It's very compact and easy to carry. Great both for artists and for people who just want to hold up a sign for an event. It took a little time to learn how to set it up but it's worth the effort. I appreciated the clip at the top that lets you clamp the canvas/artwork/sign in place. I bought two of these just for event signs and I'll use them again for many other things. The carrying case is handy, too.
