I've never had any brand loyalty for toothpaste, always just buying what's on sale. After turning 30, I've decided to be a big girl and try to buy responsibly by focusing on pure ingredients and/or brand conscientiousness. I bought this toothpaste because the list of ingredients looked great. I liked it once I started using it. It felt fresh, and it tasted minty with an unexpected hint of licorice, which was not unpleasant. A month or two after using this toothpaste exclusively, I began to notice that the corners of my mouth would get dry, and take on a surprising light tan tone. This was distressingly noticeable since I am pale. The darkened skin started at the corners of my mouth, and then took an unfortunate slant downward that gave me the appearance of always frowning. In addition to the dry, discolored skin, my teeth became very sensitive. I couldn't tell if it was a reaction to temperature (very hot or cold food, or cold winter air on my teeth), or if the ache was in response to acidity of my food. Since I bought a 2 pack of this toothpaste, I held out for 3 months after the purchase date. I blamed any number of factors, including a new skin regimen, but finally broke down and bought a different toothpaste just to see if it would help. The sensitivity in my teeth was almost completely cured after 2 or 3 uses of a new brand of toothpaste. Tooth sensitivity still bothers me on occasion a month after ditching the Ayurvedic paste, but at least it's not daily pain that would be felt regardless of whether I was eating or not. The dry, discolored skin has taken longer to improve, but it definitely looks much better. I can only assume that there was an ingredient, or combination of ingredients, within the Ayurvedic paste that did not agree with me. I am sure this is an individual response, and that this would not be the case for very many people. My advice is this: try the toothpaste for yourself, but keep an eye out for bad reactions so you can discontinue use right away if necessary. Also, don't start this new toothpaste at the same time as you start using any other new product. It took me a while to notice the Ayurvedic paste was to blame for my skin reaction, both because the reaction didn't occur until about a month after I started using the paste, and because it coincided with me using a new face wash and face lotion that I wrongly thought could be responsible for the skin dryness and discoloration.

I originally found this toothpaste at TJMaxx and thought I would try it. I have fallen in love! This toothpaste makes your teeth feel so clean, no tartar, and the taste is great! I was having trouble with the Fluoride in Crest! It was doing funky things to my tongue and I wanted to try to see if I would have better results if I illiminated the Fluoride. This toothpaste was the answer, so I started purchasing it from Amazon. Also, the Fluoride was aggravating my low thyroid problem! You should try it! I love it!

This has neem in it which I have used before. It has a licorice taste which I like so it's a matter of personal preference.I am alternating with sensitive teeth toothpaste as it didn't perform in that area for me.

I have used a different brand of toothpaste for years that has essential oils in it and was very pleased. However, this brand is better. I feel like my gums are healthier using this brand. I will be reordering this toothpaste.
