This is a great starter set to get you started on improving your shave. I had been using shaving cream in an aerosol can for as long as I have been shaving, but always had issues with irritation even after trying several different brands. Using a brush and shaving soap is a great way to easily improve your shave. I found using a brush and shave soap helped my shave feel more comfortable and felt less irritation after the shave. As well the shaving cream that comes in an aerosol can hurts the environment, so using a brush with a cream or soap is a good way to help the environment and get a better shave. The Pros: -You get everything you need (brush, bowl, drying stand for brush and shave soap) to get started at a good price point. -The brush is decent quality, feels comfortable and is the best part of the kit. The Cons: -The brush does have a strong odor, but goes away with use. -The shave soap it comes with is good, but there are better soaps and creams out there. Of course, once the soap is gone you can use any other soap or cream you want with the kit. Bottom-line: I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to improve their shave.

Absolutely fantastic. No funny smell like some mentioned. Brush is easy to clean if you rinse right after applying shave soap to face. Seems sturdy and definitely a solid price. Super soft on the face and holds together well. I will mark that the bowl is a little on the small side but it's fantastic quality.

Quality product

I shave my head and find the soap helps get a smooth, comfortable and really close shave. I prefer it to proraso by a distance. The brush is also fantastic. However, I’m not a fan of the stand and feel it’s a little award to get the bowl out.
