Full product test results...
I owned these pants for about a year, riding 4-5 times a week. They are a durable product and comfortable enough to wear while doing things other than riding. Living in Florida they do get a bit toasty after a while, but it was never unbearable. They look like normal pants. I like this. It also may be the point, who knows. Most importantly (and unfortunately) I can verify their protective capabilities. I went down at 80mph, traversing 10 yards of pavement and another 30 of gravel/grass. The denim was obviously shredded, but the kevlar liner was not damaged anywhere close to the point of failure. Inspection of the stitching showed no signs of giving. I was wearing the hip pads, which was a good idea seeing how I came down directly on my left hip; there was definitely an improvement in mid-accident comfort. I really believe that had ems not cut them off of me (I hope they dulled their clothes shears), they were a few patch jobs away from being usable, not that that would be a good idea. Then again, if I had a track record of good ideas I probably wouldn't have conducted this "product test".If you want a quality pair of pants that look like pants but protect like riding...pants...then consider these pants.

Passed crash test
Too tight on knees makes riding and walking a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise nice jeans.Updating my review after some wahes and slide-crash. After first washing pants seem to be more comfortable.I had a slide-crash at about 40 mph and pants saved my hip and leg pretty well. And it actually looks like nothing happened to it.Give it 5 stars because it really works.

Great fit
These exceeded my expectations. Needed some protection for daily dog runs on my electric skateboard. Should be wearing knee pads but realistically I'm not going to strap them on for a quick run around the neighborhood. These pants aren't bulky, except for maybe in the knees, but since they are black you can't really tell. They are so much cheaper than all other jeans I've found, particularly at RevZilla and the like. These have the standard hip and knee slots with Velcro so you're able to increase your protection if desired. I'm assuming these are CE level 1 pads, or perhaps even lower given the cost. May upgrade to level 2. Anyways, all in all, very happy.

Almost, but not quite
I usually wear a 33 waist in jeans. Bought the 36: perfect in thighs, just a little loose in waist, but that's what I wanted since space is needed for the slight lean forward required by my bike. However ... I have a pretty serious chemical sensitivity. I reacted very badly to the black dye (or something). Purely conjecture and I don't wish to malign Pakistan, where pants were made, but perhaps the regulations for dye are lax there. I considered trying to wash the pants in hopes the effect of the dye would be eliminated, but didn't want to risk it not working and losing the money I spent on the pants. Sent the product back. My only other negative is that armor holders were flimsy and, as others have noted, the knee armor holder tends to slip to the side. Come to think of it, that's pretty bad too.

Tight butt fit
Seriously. I've never bought a pair of jeans with the weird fit of these. Maybe it is a manufacturing error? I normally wear a 35x30 in Levis, and so I bought the 36x30 for these; the waist at the beltline is loose, I can slip my hand under the top, but at the hips it is really tight--and there is nothing weird about my butt, I assure you. Maybe I am just old and this is now the new style? No thank you. These will only get tighter after I wash them, right, so straight out of the box feeling like this, this is a deal-breaker. But, seems like a good quality product.

Essential safety gear
I hit a deer at 50mph in the dark and slid a long way along the road. I got up and got back on my bike without a scratch thanks to the kevlar lining and protective pads.

Solid product. Highly recommended!
Ordered these because of 14oz denim and 320 gram/sq meter Kevlar lining. Even big name motorcycle-specific brands can't match that. Looked all over the Internet on motorcycle gear retailers but chose this. Fit was PERFECT. I wear 32x30 and I ordered the same. Fit true to size.Included armor is good at the knee when in riding position but shifts below knees when walking around. That is to be expected with any and all garments that have armor unless they are undergarments worn next to skin. The material is stiff but should break in. Kevlar lining is honestly and generously placed in critical spots such as knees, hips and bum.The hip armor is simply a layer of dense foam.I plan to use an armor short and separate knee guards for a higher speed trip but for around town and low speeds the armor will suffice. Most of all, I bought the jeans for abrasion resistance and Kevlar is the real deal.I have no desire to test the effecacy and I hope I never have to. But they inspire confidence and I'm happy to have them.Lastly, they look just like ordinary jeans and I wanted a stealthy garment that can be worn around without looking like I'm at a motorcycle rally or on a motorcycle tour.Five stars all the way and best bang for buck!

HB Kevlar Jeans
I was a little apprehensive about ordering these jeans due to other reviews about sizing issues. I normally wear a 32 waist and 30 length in jeans. I ordered the 34 waist and 30 length and they fit like my other 32x30 jeans do so I'd say the jeans are somewhat small in the waist as the description indicated. I'm 5'6 and 150 lbs for reference. The knee pads are ok but adjusting them to the correct location could be an issue. There are two Velcro strips on each side of the knee pad pocket for adjustment which doesn't allow for much adjustment but may help. There are 2 hip pads which fit into two pockets on each side of the pants. The jeans are thick and the Kevlar lining is where you would want it to be to prevent road rash. They look like normal jeans with the exception of the knee pads. The quality and construction of the jeans seems to be good. They are a little on the expensive side but if it saves me from a more serious injury then they are worth every penny and I believe that they would help to reduce the impact with the road. Smart riders know that it's not if but when...
