UNIT IS DISCONTINUED, NO LONGER SUPPORTED BY Magellan
This product is mis represented. Features listed are no longer supported by Magellan ( Satellite imaging for exmple). Unit is discontinued by Magellan. No longer supported by Magellan. If you purchase this unit, be warned that product registration is done using the unit itself, and that when it tries to register itself on TRX Trailhead ( Magellans site ) it will give you an error and wont complete the product registration. This occurs because the unit is no longer supported. There is no disclaimer of this on any of the new unit adversizing. Clearly they are just dumping discontinued product on the consumer, knowing that its a fraud. The unit is completely useless since it can not be registered on TRX Trailhead ( Keep in mind TRX Trailhead is the website that is used to send trail inofrmation to and from your unit. I have since learned that Magellan is no longer in business as they have been sold twice since 2019. My suggestion is RUN away from all Magellen products, what we see of Magellan now is just a brand name, and no longer a quality product. I could not have been more dissappointed!

Impressive
This GPS has preloaded snowmobile and ATV trails int its data base. BUT the GPS trails does not include trails in my area. BUT, the GPS is designed for the user to track, video tape, and photo the custom trails. WONDERFUL GPS, it's worth the money. Recommend Magellan to incude a disclaimer indicating not all local trails are included in their data base.

Nice display and good camera
The display is about the right size at 7", not too big as to block the window, but big enough to read quickly while driving. The camera can be positioned separately from the display; this is good if you want the display slightly facing you and the camera looking forward. The camera itself has a pretty sweet Sony STARVIS sensor, but it maxes out at 1080p. That's a lot more manageable if you plan on saving your videos. The camera sticks out a bit from the back so you may want to wrap it in something before putting it in the glove box, to protect it. I might invest in a case. It comes with a USB car adapter as well as a USB wall charger, but if you're like me you have a kitchen drawer filled with those already. The Micro USB cable with a 90-degree head connects to the back of the unit, I ran the cable straight down to my cigarette lighter. The GPS uses a magnetic mount so you can remove it easily and leave the mounted hardware in the same position. I haven't played with the software much, but there are a ton of options. The whole unit updates via Wi-Fi which is a lot simpler and easier than messing with cables and looking for software updates online. The hardest part is remembering your Wi-Fi password.

Wish it was better
So this unit came with a lot of great extra features for off roading. And that is all well and good but what ruined it for me was the incredible inaccuracy of the maps in general. I simply attempted to search for my home address and found that the gos could not locate my address. Little did I know that this was due to the gps map data claiming that my home address was located in a town 20mins from its actual town location. Not only that but several other addresses near me were hit and miss mixing the correct town location with the incorrect town location even when the locations were right next to each other making this geographically impossible. So due to the hit and miss correct address and map data I concluded that if this unit could not get simple public knowledge correct why should I trust it with off road information? Not only that but entering actual address information was clunky and a hassle once I figured out how to even accomplish this.Another issue was when I did enter the address to my current location the gps showed the address as being .2 miles from my exact spot when I was indeed currently already at that location.I wanted this gps unit to work so badly because everything else it claimed that it did, it infact sid do and did it will. But due to its unreliable mapping I could not being myself to commit to a $300 unit. For that price this unit should manage to do what any simple smart phone can do for free. Unfortunately I would have to say this is not a good purchase in my opinion. It is unfortunate youtubers and other social media influencers are backing this as a reliable product because had I not had an actual hands on experience for myself, research would lead you to believe this was a good purchase.

Not for me.
This has the potential to be a great unit but falls short in my opinion. Has a lot of great features and works well for probably most people. In my case I want to see every trail available to me if I get in trouble. Unfortunately if you are not using the trails they supply with the unit you are pretty much out of luck with this device. There are a lot of trails available on other maps that just aren't there for you to see with this device. They also no longer support the use of Satellite Imagery which would solve the problem of being able to see all the available trails. I just think this unit falls short of being a really useful device. That being said, it does however have all your maps available all the time which would make it a good backup to carry along with in cases where you don't have cell tower or Wifi available.

Not worth the money
It's next to impossible to get this thing to sync to the trx trail head website and when it finally does and if you are lucky enough to get your plans downloaded and you think you are ready to go guess what it does retain the routes if you power it off for more than a day or two. Maybe I got a lemon or maybe it's a piece of poo but regardless it is very frustrating and not worth anything if you cant use it the preloaded trail system is all out of wack and it's definitely not worth the price I paid.
