Cisco CCDA Simplified

This book gives you a very good perspective on design and why designers make the choices they make! My manager does design for us, and he wants me to learn, and actually, when you get to the level of designing and architecting, you are at the top my friend! This book helps me to understand design and to develop a frame of thought when designing networks for customers. I'm studying for my CCIE R&S and this book has shown me that learning CCDA level material can very well help one study for their CCIE as well! Thank you sir for this well written tomb!

I got this book HONESTLY just for fun, but it turn out to be a very interesting choice, I have not finished the book but so far what I read is pretty interesting it goes deep into my concepts of CCNA, I was not expecting to be shocked, check chapter 2 network design, YOU BELIEVE you know everything, well surprise, surprise, YOU DON'T, and this book prove me wrong, I have learn some tricks I din't know and ground some others I knew with fresh ideas, I will be happy to share my thoughts once I finish the whole book.

I found this book to be a huge help in getting a more synthetic and organized picture of the complex mass of information that is required for the CCDA certification. It seems that the CCDA candidate is expected to have a deep knowledge of several aspects of networking, like wireless, voice, routing, switching, not to mention knowledge of the various industry solutions and standards, and the Cisco products in particular. 'Cisco CCDA Simplified' does a good job in presenting the material in a more concise and sometimes more organized manner, with respect to the official certification guide. The boundaries of CCDA don't appear to be very clear, and one book is definitely not enough for a good preparation. I feel that this book is a great complement to the certification guide and the top down network design guide. The Kindle edition is a steal, at just a few dollars, and i find it readable both on the Kindle and the Cloud Reader. I highly recommend this book to prepare for the CCDA

Written in an easy to read format and great for making it a pleasure to learn the basics. Only issue is that it doesn't have enough details to enable you to pass the CCDA test just relying on it. Don't rely on passing the test just using this but if you have enough time to study, it's worth a read since it reads so effortlessly. Not at all boring to read.

Haven't taken the CCDA exam yet but I have studied for and taken several other Cisco exams and this is probably the most readable Cisco study guide I've worked through. Some reviews say it doesn't cover everything you need to know, but in my experience no book covers all the material and they all should be supplemented with other reading material or Video learning.Great find, I highly recommend!

The book does a good job of explaining the concepts without getting too technical.It does not overwhelm the reader with fluff and gets right to the meat of the subject.It includes enough diagram to further understand the subject matter.lText looks good on my S4. Great pricing too!

I haven't read the whole book but having read first 4 chapters, i can say that it is one of the most helpful books i found on CCDA exam. The book is mainly focused on the designing aspects of the networks which is quite different from deployment and configuration of the devices. The book provides the deep understanding of enterprise networks both LAN and WAN. Unfortunately there is not enough material on data center designing. The author can only include some case studies in the next edition. Overhaul a great book.

This book is very interesting. Right now, I am going for my CCNP and this book has helped me to understand why architects do some of the things they do, and basically gave my a different perspective of the network, one that is from the architect's point of view. I found this book to be very useful, and it will be especially useful when I take my CCDA exam (which I think I'll be taking after my CCNP). I recommend this book to anybody who is in the Cisco world.
