Sturdy peeler.
Very strong peeler. Handle is a little longer than I am used to but I am sure I will get used to it. Easy to clean.

Warning: Potatoes ahead!
The first thing I noticed about this was the packaging. The merchandise shelf hanging hole was cut crookedly. The front plastic was stapled on, with a couple of holes where a staple was removed. (??) On the pack was a makeshift label, printed on a small piece of paper and taped on. In short, it was so unimpressive that it was almost comical. This packaging reminds me of the knowledge of how many little sayings that one can come up with that contradict themselves. Ie, "All good things come to he who waits" vs "he who hesitates is lost." I like to think that presentation is important, that as Andrew Grant was purported to have said, "You never get a second chance to make a first impression." But then again, "Never judge a book by its cover." So, the only thing to do was to open up this interesting package and see if the packaging was an indication of the quality of the peeler. (suspenseful music here.)I'm happy to report that the actual product (that which will not be recycled with the week's plastics and cardboards) performs far better than its cocoon might suggest. I am not sure why, but I find this amusing. Maybe because I'm rooting for the book within the confines of its dusty cover, over the idea that there are no second chances. The peeler that I'm used to using is oriented differently than this one. It's the kind that is one straight line, with the blade being in line with the handle. The hand motion that I'm used to using to peel is different on this one. It took me a few peels to get the feel of it, but once I did it sliced thin and clean. I'm going to attach a photo of a random potato I just peeled (at 4am no less) so that I could enclose a pic for you.All in all, this is a 5 star product, easily. When it arrives, you can have a nice chuckle at this "book's" cover. ;)*I received this product at a discount, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.*

The media could not be loaded. ย PANCOOK Vegetable Peeler, Best Quality Stainless Steel Peeler, Fruit Peeler,Julienne Peeler Ok let's get to peeling!!! This peeler is ready for any fruit or vegetable. It is 6 inches long so it has enough length to have a good grip on the handle. It's made of Stainless Steel so it will last for the long haul. This peeler is very durable and sleek. It has a very, very sharp blade so get out the reach of children. It also has a sharp point tooth like point on the side for making a whole in any fruit or veggie, That is also very sharp so watch those fingers. This little tool would be perfect for any professional chef or home chef design. Now to peel your food it has a very wide cutting area so you can take care of anything fruit or veggie quickly. You can also get a little creative with your food. You can make lemon zest, or Julianne carrots or carve small holes in potatoes for a project. So I hope this helped with making your decision. I really enjoy using it. I received the product for a discounted price to provide my honest and unbiased opinion. . Good peeler
This is a good fruit or vegetable peeler. It's nice looking. Its not junky made product. It's made out of stainless steel. The silver color makes it look fancy. The blade is made out of steel and very sharp. It will not rust when washed, it cleans up easy also. Its safe to put it in the dishwashe since ithe wont rust. Can be used for fruit like pears and apples or vegetables like squash and zucchini. Ive used it on my potatoes and it worked great. This would make a gift for anyone's kitchen. It's slick design could go for a fancy up scale kitchen to a down home country kitchen. I got this item at a discount in return to give my honest opinion.

... veggie peelers that were ok for me but not great for my kids
I have had several fruit and veggie peelers that were ok for me but not great for my kids. I like to involve them in cooking and this one was great. My girls are 5, 4 and 2.5 yrs old and all three of them were able to peel carrots easily. It peels smoothly and is wide enough to be efficient for peeling larger items like apples. Definitely a keeper!
